When asked what it would take for LSU to get into the National Championship game, he said quickly "A Ticket". Said no way they have any chance. He's sticking with the easy way out and picking BAMA. He thought ND's ranking was right as was LSU being 13 but he's not sold on the Aggies.

He's in media. You're the audience. He's trying to the stir the pot and get people like you to talk about it for ratings. He's accomplished what he wanted. Some people like you are just so friggin' stupid.

It's kind of a stupid question anyway because the answer's obvious...beat all the teams on your schedule, avoid injuries, and hope you have a little luck as the season goes on. And if all that doesn't happen, yeah, a ticket would work.

I like Ivan. There are way too many CFB programs to follow for him to have an in-depth look. His facts are: In 2012 Zach finished with a rating of 129 (70th), the Total O finished 77th, we lost a bunch of guys, especially on the D. We're banking on Coach Cameron putting out an efficient O. Chavis putting a excellent D. I think both will happen but the national press isn't going to do a lot of investigation.

the season is a month away, who cares. the good news is they are going to let us play the 12 teams on our schedule and nobody knows what will happen until then.

If the guys and coaches do the deal their are going to be some surprised people this year.

Oh really? So any media personality that believes LSU should actually be ranked 13th are just trying to stir up the LSU fan base? They can't actually believe that LSU has the toughest schedule in the nation and lost a ton of starters and has a brand new OC? Those couldn't be the reasons. I think you're the fricking idiot.

I think most were expecting the 10-15 range. That's where I would have them. I'm pretty optimistic this year but there is a lot of proving to be done...by proving I mean at least 6 teams that can beat us.

LSU has to go to Athens, to Tuscalousa, and has home games with Florida and Texas A&M, plus they have TCU in Dallas to open. The D will be young. Metz is nothing more than a mediocre QB, and in all likelyhood the top RB is gone. They are breaking in a new system with a new OC.
10-2 would be a shocker, much less a NC.

The media picks the teams with the less challenging schedule. They look at the teams that team plays and say, they should go undefeated. therefore, i'm putting them 1 and 2. They reward teams for being or going undefeated rather than the teams that face competition.
Ohio St is ranked second, not because they believe they are the second best team. They believe they are Notre Dame of last year. Everyone knows they aren't 1 or 2, however, they are more likely to be undefeated. Then, get their ARSE handed to them AGAIN.
It's truly the biggest flaw in college football. The other sports are ranked by competition. Football is ranked based on lack of competition.
USC and Oklahoma playing for the n.c. over Au is the biggest example of it. They both were ranked 1 and 2 prior to the season. (because of who they didn't play vs who they played) they went undefeated and Au was left as the bridesmaid.
The s.e.c. has 7 in a row, had that game played out, it could be up to 8 or 9 now.

I love how people keep saying that Mett is a mediocre or average QB. He is going to surprise some people this year.

Take off your p+g glasses please. Maisel means what he says I'm sure. We are irrelevant right now.
Our team must regain respect and we have the talent to do it

I can't stand him but he is right. No way we finish with less than 2 losses. And that won't be enough ever again. Just being realistic.

TFTC - I like the optimism bro. Im excited about this year actually. My only goal is the Bama game. I dont care if we go 1-11. Give me that W and Im good.

I was referring to that pussy "OilAttorney" at the top of this thread, but alright. Anyway, I think we blow past TCU, Kent State, Auburn. I think Georgia is the make or break game of the season. We win that one and the sky is the limit. We aren't going to Tuscaloosa and losing. Mad Hatter is too good in close games. It's undeniable he's a really, really good coach. Sure, he's had trouble at times and clock management. With Cam Cameron at the helm, watch it, brah.

or maybe he really believes that LSU can't make it to the NC and he was answering a question. it's ridiculous that every time someone in media says something negative about LSU they're just trying to "stir the pot"
