Kenny Hilliard was beastly in 2011. I was hoping for great things from him last year, but he really struggled. What will it take for him to get better? Has anyone heard anything about him?

We will need the depth.

Getting him the ball more first off. But if blue and hill are both in game Hilliard won't be getting to many touches

He actually had a higher ypc average in 2012 (5.7) than in 2011 (5.4).

His focus to be on football, which it should be this year.

He got off to a great start last year. The emergence of Jeremy Hill, and probably the birth of his kids affected his play. I think he can turn it around this year with more reps, and less distractions.

Hopefully he's more settled in his family life now. I think having his twins last year was just too big a load to deal with in conjunction with football...as I think it would for any 20 year old.

He's already shed some weight. I think he's making football a priority and going to crack skulls this year.

1. Lay off the potatoes and rice. I've heard he's done that, and shed a little weight. Great start there.

2. Reshuffle his priorities. Don't get me wrong - I don't think they were out of whack last year. If I'd have just fathered twins, I doubt I'd be nearly as concerned about what went down on the football field either. In a strange way, I almost view his drop off in production a good thing. I'd be concerned about a guys character if he'd just fathered twins, and it DIDN'T affect his play.

3. Understand that he's needed. It's hard to know if his non-beast mode was attributable solely to the birth of his children, or because he felt like he'd been "left behind" or whatever. Whatever he did before the Auburn as a freshmen - whatever he felt and thought - he needs to feel that/think that again.

Cam calling the plays should help a lot.

he is essentially in a 'contract year' so if he's smart he'll come in a little lighter/quicker so he can inhance his draft status. if he runs smart, hard, holds on to the rock and solidly improves his yac he and we will do jest fine.

get better.

Kenny will be back to form this year. Remove the pressure of 2 new babies and add the absence of Hill from the rotation. Recipe for a motivated H3.

I know how he can have a good year. How bout Miles letting him play. The dude barely touched the field. We had like 18 great backs and Miles only used two of em. Give Hilliard the ball and he'd be just like his dad/uncle or whatever.
