Space Hog - In the Meantime

Spacehog, one word. They also had a couple of hits: In the Meantime and Cruel to Be Kind.

Years later, their singer/bassist Royston Langdon joined forces with Rogers Stevens of Blind Melon fame in a short-lived band named The Tender Trio. I don't know that their album was ever officially released, but you can find it online.

Hum - Stars

This is my GOAT one hit wonder song

So many bands listed here actually had several very good albums. Stars is not even a top 5 Hum song for me. Also, Blind Melon deserves better than this thread.

The "one-hit" wonder nature has more to do with fickle music executives/fans as it does with the bands' career outputs.

The original was. The DNA remix was from 1990. DNA added the soul II soul beat.

Michael Penn - No Myth

not sure if it came out in 1989 or 1990 but a great song nonetheless.

Chumbawamba - Tubthumping

The first 2 or 3 times I heard it, I thought it was a good pop song (I love good pop/rock music like the Beatles), but after that I got tired of it quick.
