Hey, that's what country is.
CSB about "what country is"....
Y'all know that Luke Bryan song, "that's what country is", right? I think that's the name of the song.
Anyway, I was at an outdoor concert, and a fight broke out in front of the stage as he was playing that song. He finishes the song, and here's the diatribe after.....
"You boys get it settled out there? Shoot boys, what would your momma think? That's what country is right there now! I mean, y'all usually wait until I'm 6 or 8 songs in, but the third song?"

The WORST shot I ever made, and still got the deer.....
I think I was about 14. I only bowhunted deer then, as now. I think I had some kind of old Bear bow. It must have shot somewhere around a blazing 140 fps. A doe came walking by, at about 35 yards out. It stopped. I drew my bow, and when I shot, I knew that I had shot a little to the left. That's if everything else had remained stationary. But it didn't. The deer started to walk again just as I released, AND, to make it even worse, it jumped forward at the sound of my bow. I knew it was a bad hit, and my first thought was "gut shot".
When I got down, to my surprise, there was a lot of blood. Maybe I didn't shoot SO far back afterall. I thought I'd probably got her somewhere around the diaphragm. Anyway, I met up with my dad, and we trailed her over the ridge and into the next hollow. Then the blood started to peter out. I found a couple more specks, then I saw her laying up ahead.
When we walked up on that deer, there wasn't a hole to be seen. But, after looking more closely, we found where the arrow had just barely got her in the hindquarter. Two more inches to the left and I'd have missed her completely. But, it cut the femoral artery and she bled out about as fast as a lung shot.
Anyway, here's to luck.

Fishing with my Grandfather, I was probably 6 or 7 and had my Red Rider with me. There was bird that will be nameless, with a long white neck, that was sitting on a log in the spillway and I asked if I could shoot it. I was told there was no way I could hit it too far, but go ahead. The first shot would have been about 5" in front of the bird till it stretched out its neck. I watched that BB lob into the side of the head and dropped it dead...

So, tell me y'alls best lucky/awesome shot stories please. We've all got one.
All my deer kills have been pretty bland not over 200 yard shots so nothing special there. On ducks, had about 100 teal sneak in on my side of the blind while everyone was shooting the bull so I was the only shooter. Instead of picking out 1, I just kinda shizzed in my pants and flock shot. Knocked down 4 on my first shot. Whiffed on the last 2 just because I felt so awesome on seeing that many birds fall.

Thats me. No crazy shots that I can think of. And havent killed any coons with a beer bottle(thats classic)
Amazed myself at a few long duck shots but that really speaks more for the gun/shell getting out there than me doing anything special.

I shot at a grackle from so far that my hold over had to be 20'. Benjamin .177. Dropped him.

I threw a 1' long rotted 2" diameter tree limb at a possum at highland rd park to get him off the football field. Hit him in the side of the head and he rolled over dead. If he was just playing possum he did a good job because he was bleeding out the side of his head and stayed there the entire game.

At least it cant breed.
212 yard head shot.
shot a couple knowing I was going to pass the bullet 2 to 3 inches from a tree but it was my last chance to shoot.
have killed well over 120 not counting hogs.

Also had a few does come out 100 yards or so in a field. Put it behind the shoulder and dropped the hammer. Looked up and she's still staring at me. Let another one rip and she trotted 20 yards to a fence where she expired. When walking to retrieve her, I almost tripped in the first one I shot. She must've dropped faster than I blinked.

First time I had ever been in the woods with my brand new Beretta 90 two.
At a friend's place in Sorrento checking out his uncle's ducks and chickens. They said they occasionally would see an unnamed reptile come and snag a bird from their pond.
I was sitting there casting a rod with a couple of buddies and a head pops up in the water at about 15-20 yards out. I look at my buddy "What should I do? Can I pop him?" "Sure go ahead."
I was thinking there was no way I could connect at that distance with limited handgun experience (the early Bapple days ) but I put the sights up and squeezed off a shot. After a splash in the water, I see a pool of red and the reptile is turned belly-up. Couldn't believe I made that shot...

I have done some Robin Hood stuff with my bow on some deer but I am taking it the OP was referring to trick shots with a firearm.
