I went to the movie version with my wife, son, and his girlfriend - her idea as she is a big "Les Mis" fan as they like to say. I'm not a big fan of musicals, but some such as West Side Story aren't too bad, where there is spoken dialogue interspersed with songs. But in Les Mis they sing every word - that drove me crazy. After about 15 minutes, I couldn't take it anymore so I forced myself to fall asleep. I woke up when it was all over. I don't know how any male could take two hours of that stuff.
