Meh, I don't see the problem. Each have a big 3.
OSU
Mich
PSU
Nebraska
Wisconsin
Iowa
The rest are just mid-tier teams that can make a run some years.

you can't mess up east and west lol...

Still should have gone "Man vs Beast"...

That makes more sense. You can't make divisions based on success when success is cyclical.
Except it's really not historically in the B1G...
That conference is Ohio State (34) /Michigan (42) - conference titles.
Penn State has added a wrinkle but frankly they've underwhelmed and are now up a shite storm.
Nebraska hasn't regained it's form from the 90's and it's been over a decade.
It's like the SEC in the 60's/70's. Not much competition for the Top dog.

ANYthing is better than the non-geographic "Leaders" and "Legends" divisions.

Yet another reason to go Man vs Beast.
Man Division:
Illinois
tOSU
Rutgers
Indiana
Nebraska
Purdue
Michigan State
Beast Division:
Michigan
Iowa
Northwestern
Penn State
Maryland
Minnesota
Wisconsin
Conference CG is called Man vs. Beast or something cooler.
Profit.

They probably never will. They used to have a draw to kids who wanted to be on tv and they had a system they ran to perfection. They should still be GOOD due to $ and facilities in the football program, but not great. They may win the conference maybe once a decade.

Penn state won just as many NCs as a member of the big 10 as Michigan. PSU has just as much potential and they're actually recruiting very well through this shite storm. Imagine how great they'd be doing without it. Seems like Joe Pa kind of kept them in limbo for the last 15 years or so with instability and uncertainty in him staying.

True, but I used to feel like the B1G had less bottom feeders than the SEC, but with Ole Miss' recruiting and Vandy playing well, that's changing.

That's actually a very solid division of teams.
But again, the elephant in the room is still there...you absolutely cannot have Michigan and Ohio State in separate divisions.
They can't play twice, THE GAME - has to remain THE GAME...once a year and not replayed two weeks later.

RU needs to improve facilities to compete with the big dogs in OSU, Mich, ND, and PSU who constantly take the NJ talent. It's hard to compete when your game day atmosphere is a half full 50k stadium and the others are 100K plus full.

Maybe swap Iowa for tOSU?
A buckeye is neither man nor beast.
And hawkeye can certainly refer to humans, specifically fictional characters.

I think it being played twice is great. The ratings would be through the roof for the 2nd matchup. And the 1st matchup would still get great hype and ratings because usually one of them couldn't afford to lose and is in a must-win situation to make the Championship game. Plus, losing a reg. season game would have major playoff implications since the SEC would have so many teams.

We don't get Cuse, do we? You forgot the Hoosiers.

The Big Ten and the SEC have 14 teams and therefore need to use the roommate switch proposal. For the Big Ten that would mean:
Group 1:
Michigan
tOSU
Michigan State
Group 2:
PSU
Nebraska
Wisconsin
Group 3:
Indiana
Purdue
Rutgers
Maryland
Group 4:
Illinois
Northwestern
Iowa
Minnesota
This makes necessary a four year rotation if you want to play every program in a four year period:
Years 1&2:
Group 1 and 3 - home/away
Group 2 and 4 - home/away
Championship game between champ of 1/3 vs 2/4
Years 3&4:
Group 1 and 4 - home/away
Group 2 and 3 - home/away
Championship game between champ of 1/4 vs 2/3
Group 1:
Michigan
tOSU
Michigan State
Group 2:
PSU
Nebraska
Wisconsin
Group 3:
Indiana
Purdue
Rutgers
Maryland
Group 4:
Illinois
Northwestern
Iowa
Minnesota

My bad. Hoosiers in the Man Division, Buckeyes to Beast Division, swapping with Iowa.

Over the last 20 years the West division has won 9 BIG 10 championships compared to the East division has 11.

Boomed. Also, how many would Nebraska have won for the west in the 90s?
