What is LSU's top need at the WR position?

Out of the targets Blacknall, Noil, Quinn, Dupre, Williams, Upchurch, and Sims how do they stack up against each other in regards to a starting role.
Who is the one that can't get away?

that's just difficult, but from what people have said and seen, Noil is elite

Noil and D'haquille are the most talented out of that group.
Dupre, Quinn, and Blacknall all look like they could be really good players at LSU. But Speedy and Ducas are the game changers.

Tough question because even if you take the best WR out and sign the rest, you still have the best WR class LSU has ever had.
ELITE: Quille, Dupre, Speedy
Quinn
Blacknall
Upchurch

Rather than say a player LSU's biggest need at WR right now is to get someone who isn't an exact clone of the guys they already have. Right now your top 3 guys are Jarvis Landry, listed at 6'1" 197 lbs, Jarvis Landry listed at 6'1" 195, and Kadron Boone listed at 6'0" 207. They all have a very similar body type. They are all short for WR, fast, and project as slot guys in the NFL. We were spoiled for years and years with tall, rangy fast receivers who were all around 6'4" 6'5" and could stretch the field, work the sidelines, and catch deep balls. Without that kind of big tall target the offense is limited. So as much as I like Speedy Noil he looks a lot like Odell Beckham Jr. to me, and what the team needs most is more prototypical NFL wideouts, not more great slot guys. I hope we get Speedy, but I would like to see some tall guys with burners and great hands too.

Noil.....and it's not even close.

I'd say Dupre, his measurables are right there with Speedy and he has 3 inches on him. Not to mention Dupre has more experience at the position.

For immediate help at WR I would have to say Quille come home. Though he's the one year fix more than likely he is exactly what we need and can step in from day one. Second would be Dupre but we really need the lot of them if we want to give Cam a full arsenal.

Any 4 of those will make LSU a different offense for years to come...

We need more size first and foremost. That opens up the defense a lot. Cam can diversify the offense more (yea yea, wishful thinking) w a guy like noil playing the slot, backfield, etc. Really just move him all over the field bc he is special w the ball in his hands. IMO somebody like that, in a potential offense like ours w big guys moving up the field is going to have lots of one on one matchups in space and can be badass and a HUGE part of our offense! Especially when the TE becomes a big part. Our offense is going to destroy the
3-4 defense
So
QUILLE
DUPRE
NOIL
QUINN
UPCHURCH
BLACKNAIL
3-4 defense

UPCHURCH
BLACKNAIL

those 5 are the top ones. Upchurch is an also take but looks to be more of a TE hybrid like deangelo peterson was. Sims is a bama commit. LSU has no interest.

None of these guys are slouches as a matter of fact I think we could have something akin to Bowe, Davis, and Early when they are on the field together.
I think the top four when college is done will look like this:
Williams
Quinn
Noil
Dupre

I thought Sims was an Ole Piss lean?

Personally, I like Dupre the best. He beat Tony Brown at that camp a while back on a couple of passes. He just looks and has the physical attributes of a WR and seems to have great hands. Noil I like with the ball but the highlights I've seen he is running with the ball from the QB position or throwing short passes. I guess I need to find some footage where he might be a WR instead of a QB. Williams is the one I care the least about, NOT because of ability but because he is a 1 and done guy. I would much rather take a lesser talent and have him for 3 or 4 years than a better guy who you know is short lived in the program.
I hope LSU signs Dupre, Noil, Blacknall, Upchurch, and Quinn.

We have a VERY good chance at landing 4 of those 5 with even a possibility of all 5. Would be monstrous.
