There are so many that were completely dominant at some point in their careers.

Oh I know

I suppose this was the wrong thread to bring it up as he was certainly not a "never was"

I just meant to say that if things would have went different it might be a discussion between Bron, MJ, and Pete when they constantly talk about GOAT

Dinardo's fault. Banks wasn't used properly. You got a glimpse of that in his final game.

He could have been the next moose Johnston in the NFL

You ever see him at WM? Completely different body composition and running style. Dinardo just wanted a blocking back. At WM, Banks was more of a Csonka type than blocker. In fact I don't know if he ever blocked in high school which makes the transition even more mind numbing.

Randy Livingston would be my number one, because he had the athleticism and high basketball IQ--if only he didn't blow out his knee.

Chris Ryan from Sulphur High in the early 90's was a beast. 6'2 and around 240-250#s. Played running back and defensive end--also ran the 100 in track and finish second place right behind Eddie Kennison in the one meet I saw him run. He went to JUCO then Clark College. Signed as a FA to the Atlanta Falcons, but didn't make it. Not smart at all--like learning disabled intelligence, which held him back more than anything.

Didn't Banks run for 2300 yards as a senior at WM? I always thought he should have gotten the ball more at LSU.
