I'm sure that this has only been discussed 87 times: WTF happened to The Chimes?

I mean, it was never earth shattering, but I remember all the way through highschool and a few years after (including when Coursey opened) that it was solid food that I'd look forward to eating.
I've heard that Highland is still decent, but at this point I think I'd rather eat at Nagoya than Coursey.
Anyone else feel like the suck has increased strongly over the past 5ish years?

You talking about Chimes East? I've been there probably 6 times in the last few months for work and it's been great all but once. And that was bc I decided to try fish and it just wasn't anything great.

The Chimes East delivers as expected. No issues here.

I used to hate Chimes due to the hippies. I met a few OB'ers at Chimes East a few weeks ago and was very happy with my meal. The Chimes in Covington has been solid every time I've been there.

The Chimes is easily one of my favorites, but I don't go there nearly as often as I used to just due to life. Went last Sunday for brunch, and the boudin omelet was slammin.

Original location has gone to shite as well since our college days.
A real shame, used to spend a lot if time there.

My only issue is with the stale draft beer selection. I love the atmosphere, the food is consistently good and I struggle to think of a place I'd rather sit for a few hours and drink beer while hanging out with friends.
It's my kind of chill atmosphere. No loud music pumping through or bands playing too loud. No smoke to deal with. Kid friendly. Adult friendly. Step up the beer to Chimes East level and I'd be happy as a clam.

Chimes East is still a great place to hang out, and the beer selection is great. Wish they had one up here in Alex

It was either me moving out from behind their building and them turning our house into a parking lot, or me taking my wife off of their staff to move to San Francisco. ?
