Just FYI I contacted FedEx and UPS, they said:
FedEx - One side has to have an FFL, either the sender or reciever.
UPS - The reciever has to have an FFL.

Guess I'll just have to wait until the next time I fly home and bring it back with me.

You told them you were shipping it to yourself right? No transfer was taking place, you just needed to get the gun to Wyoming.

What you do is you ship a hole punch to yourself.

I may have misread your original post. As I now understand it, you're currently in North Dakota, but your gun is in LA. If that's the case, I don't know that you can legally ship the gun to yourself as the gun is not currently in your possession. The one time we did this, we took the gun to the UPS office, they checked the picture ID and shipped it to us in OR.

My bad.....You can ignore all the prior recs I provided. From my current understanding, I believe UPS and Fed Ex are correct. Since you're not in possession of the gun you cannot ship it to yourself; it will have to be shipped from one dealer to another. OTOH, if you want to have the gun so you can go on a prairie dog hunt, it'd be worth the money spent to have the gun shipped to you.
