LSU is not only winning consistently since 05, but its winning more than any other BCS/SEC program.

It appears that some really have no/little appreciation of what it means to lead ALL BCS conference teams in wins or the fact that was done while playing in the very best college football conference in the NCAA.

It's one thing to say, "the skids are greased for any good coach to win here consistently" and it's another thing to win at a level that surpasses ALL other teams.

Who knows what tomorrow may bring, but to this point in time Les has produced results for LSU that has never been seen before in our 100+ yrs of football and without a doubt a Top 5 ranking, for the period, in the game when the 8 yrs are viewed on a whole.

I often wonder what LSU football those gripping bout this and gripping bout that with Les followed during their life time to be that upset with the last 8 yrs.

When the best results a program has known and one of the best in the nation is not good enough, then perhaps we have become more than a tad spoiled and entitled.

Big Apple Tiger, I hear what you said about Miles being a Great Man from a lot of people. I have never had a lengthy conversation with him and prior to his being named LSU head coach in had maybe heard his name a hand full of times. Just curious what leads you and others to say he is a Great Man?? Not taking a side either way just wondering what leads to this?

You're forgetting the biggest meltdown of all: Florida 2003. Perhaps the best LSU team of all time getting embarrassed at home against a 5 loss Zook team with a freshman QB without scoring a single point on offense.

We couldn't stop UF with them calling every play at the line.

Wouldn't want anyone but Miles. Been long-time LSU fan (1980 grad), and do remember the 'dark times'. A good man and a good coach. Hope he's here until he decides to retire.

Finishing the season ranked 126 in Total O? That's hard to do.... and a big tip-off about coaching ability. Isn't he the World's greatest recruiter??

They probably follow the LSU football team, read stories about the coach, and watch his interviews.

Actually, the 1/9 rematch was precedented

No it wasn't unless Florida and FSU played within the same division of the same conference and you're the only one aware of it.

Good grief, Gray Tiger, how old are you? Your responses are childish.

No one is saying we should win every game by 50 points. Just that we should play up to our capabilities on most occasions.

that's gonna be a while... not this year for sure. not next year with a first year starter at QB.

So Saban is the only one that can do this right? Or Chizik since Cam only played JUCO before he won the Championship.

What makes you think we can't beat Bama or TAMU? Saban won the last two, we won the two prior to that. We've beat TAMU the last 2 times. One with first round draft pick and Dolphin starting QB Tannehill, and the other with Heisman Trophy winner Manziel.

Another great thing about this year is that we have Florida here, and Ole Miss before we lay everything on the table against Bama.

Having an FCS opponent and then a bye will rest us up for finishing off both TAMU and Arky at home. UGA is my only uncertainty. After the offense goes through the growing pains with TCU, this season could probably be in the bag.

What exactly are our capabilities? Who decides this? What constitutes "most" occasions?

If the "rematch" was so precedented how come Michigan didn't get a shot at Ohio state in 2006?

UF had a loss as well and a Arkansas team that LSU beat the week before gave the gators all they could handle

It was clearly set up by Espn and the media to further their desire for a playoff.

When the human factor was taken out Okie state was ranked 2nd by every computer. They played more top 25 teams and beat more Top 25 teams that Bama did.

It was bogus from the start. No one knows for sure that LSU beats okie st but we ALL know for sure LSU beat Bama in their house in the game if the century

Florida-FSU was pre-BCS but one could argue that was unfair too. But I don't recall now the exact circumstances of why that rematch happened. But the exact situation to compare 2011 to is 2006 with OSU-Mich. the rematch was averted bc Florida deserved a shot.
