Excited about the defense. I felt Greer held up well last year considering he is a man corner playing zone, with no pass rush and no safety help. I feel he and Lewis will be a great tandem.

I know Vilma is showing as starter I believe on depth chart with ILB,but I feel he and Hawthorne will both be solid. I was actually more excited last year about the Hawthorne pickup than Lofton, then he gets hurt and plays Sam which he normally doesnt. Lofton is a beast though as is Cam Jordan.

I feel the Ben Watson pickup is a very underrated pickup and if he and Graham stay healthy will be devastating to defenses this year.

Kinda crazy but I'm more concerned about kicker than anything right now Competition is gonna be fun to watch this camp at LT position also.

True.

I was trying to figure out why the Saints were going so hard after Nnamdi Asomugha in free agency after they signed Keenan Lewis. I guess it was because he is familiar with Rob Ryan and what he wants to do on defense. Asomugha is also 6'2'' so I guess the Saints could have been trying to get taller in the secondary. I'm sure most teams looked at Seattle's secondary and the success they had with the bigger corners.

hopefully Vilma can stay healthy this year. He missed half of last year with an injury but the way the guy worded the article, one might think he sat out the whole year like Payton because of Bounty Gate.

Vilma made some plays here and there in pass defense last year (the pick six vs. Panthers for one). I think that is where he is best at now at this point in his career. I mean he isn't as effective chasing running backs sideline to sideline and being a thumper in the middle consistently like Lofton.

still wondering if either Vilma or Hawthorne will get some looks at OLB... thought I heard some where that they might.
