So the University of Oregon directly paid for athletes to be steered to the University... no bowl ban, a few loss schollies. A wannabe sports agent with no connection to USC steered Reggie Bush AWAY from USC... 2 year bowl ban, 30 lost schollies. God damn. gotfrickingdamn. frick the NCAA.
Post of the year.

Wescott Eberts @SBN_Wescott
Now that the sanctions are out and, uh, lacking bite, it's a virtual certainty that Oregon receives a commitment from Arrion Springs.

Your fellow buckeye fan was bitching that Oregon got a slap on the wrist compared to Ohio
You need to quote me on what I bitched about. Really.
I posted a copy of a tweet from a sportscaster.

Fwiw the NCAA in the report noted our cooperation. Something USC didn't do. Your Heisman winning RB being sued by an agent for over $200k in gifts given is much different than "influence" we paid for.

Since 2001 we have 5 bcs appearance and 3 wins. Not a lot of teams can boast that kind of success.

Oregon wanted info from the enforcement staff on Lyles’ relationships with other schools that the NCAA was hesitant to turn over.

quote:Yeah, no kidding. That is fricking weak on the NCAA's part. They're supposed to be really clamping down on the infractions, such as paying players/boosters/representatives, yet they only slap Oregon and Mississippi State on the wrist. This is leaving the door open for more college football programs to pay "__________ " and once again only get slapped on the wrist.
Oregon released NCAA findings: Slap on the wrist
Weak, NCAA, weak.
