Update: We've made it to South Lake Tahoe, which is PCT mile marker 1,095. We're still not even halfway done with the 2,650 mile trail. We may be behind our original schedule, but we're having a lot of fun.
I just posted some more pictures and such on our blog, which you can check out here
I did give some Bama fans a friendly "Tiger Bait" or two in Yosemite, and I'll try to write a post about all that later tonight

Hello Outdoor Board posters.
Some of you may remember this post about backpacking the Wild Azalea Trail in Louisiana. What I didn't post at the time is that I hiked the trail in preparation for a 2,650 mile, 6-month hike from Mexico to Canada along the Pacific Crest Trail.
My buddy and I, who are both 2010 LSU grads, are nearly 800 miles into the PCT and summited Mt. Whitney two days ago.
I just wanted to stop by the OB to post some links to our blogs and such in case any of y'all want to follow our progress.

It's tricky getting phone signal in the back country, but ill try to stop back by this thread when we're in towns.
I haven't met too many CFB fans hiking, but some Ohio State and Oregon fans got a few friendly jabs from me, haha

Nice! Any more plans to summit any mountains? I don't know about California but in Oregon the pct will give you a few chances. Good luck, and be safe.

You should let me know when getting close to the 3 sisters wilderness area. Maybe I could help yall out in some way. I'll be in the area a lot soon. I can also meet up near Mt. Hood.
