This is a very good article showing the sentiment of many Tiger Fans re: TDA is not just whining.

FWIW - I believe we still should have won because 0-24 in middle should not have happened, even in that park. I am of the belief the new Bats and TDA takes away from the game and fan experience. As you can see from article its not just us.

If it doesn't link up can someone fix. Thx. Enjoy the read.

The Indiana coach is an idiot. His big hitter, third in the nation in home runs, blistered a ball in the ninth vs Ms State, it fell about 15 feet short of the centerfield warning track. His next batter hit one off the fence but got stranded at second. Both of those balls should have left the yard.

Something has to be done. Your average baseball fan will not watch this shite. It's turning in to hockey or soccer which is boring as frick.

Why cant ANYONE admit that we sucked arse for two straight games. We've had holes in our lineup literally all year long and LSU was never a power hitting team.

The teams we played were on the same field as us playing in the same park as us using the same bats as us.

Stop looking for excuses and who or what to blame for the losses and man up and look forward to next year.

LSU fans are such bitches

Geaux Tigers.

I think the best voice for this are the locals. I have heard from a couple of locals while I have been around here that its not the same. Home runs make the game more interesting. We need more runs in this

this series is around 6 runs a game, which is down from 10 runs a game in 2010. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes down to 5 runs a game by the end.

so from 2010 to 2013 runs have almost been cut in half at the CWS.

i played dIII college ball in 98--was my senior year. those bats were the tits. i remember hitting some out that certainly had no business being close to going out. they definitely needed to be reeled in to an extent but this is way too far. good article

So, this is what's it's really all about. Bunch of damn yankees jealous of southern superiority again.

For the record, I like the bats and don't think baseball at the Box is boring, but plays fair to both the hitter and pitcher.

But TD Ameritrade, I think, was built to compensate for bats that are no longer in use.

They should definitely move the fences in there. There was a time hitters were able to get cheap home runs that gave a false sense of what their real power is. I think now, pitchers are getting cheap outs that are giving a false sense of their ability.

The UCLA pitcher using a strategy of throwing high fast balls to get LSU to smash 380-foot outs is not going to work at the next level for him, for example. It was smart and I'm for him and his smarts. But I'd rather it be because it's a day where the wind is uncharacteristically strong blowing in the hitter's face, not because the ballpark ALWAYS plays like that.

And believe me, I didn't care if LSU won or loss at the end of the day. Just like good baseball and would rather the CWS be played at a ballpark that plays fair, not necessarily favoring offense or pitching.

I haven't read every comment, so apologies if I'm just repeating what someone else has said. While offense overall is down and the number of home runs has decreased, it doesn't really seem to be that big of a problem with games played in campus stadiums.

To me, the larger problem is with TD Ameritrade park. They obviously designed it before the NCAA tinkered with the bats and, in the old "gorilla ball" era, it probably would have been just about right. But now that the ball doesn't carry as far, the park needs to be adjusted to the new reality. Just move the damn fences in about 10-15 feet and the whole problem goes away.

I always thought every team played their CWS games in the same park. Do they bring fences further out when LSU bats? The author of the article obviously has a biased agenda. The whining looks foolish.
