This is the most intriguing suggestion. I've always been in favor of lowing the foul limit to 5 in the NBA.

a layup would never exist again. games would be forever because anytime the ball went inside there would be a foul

Why aren't WR picks allowed in football?

NBA would be forced to replicate 1950's basketball...in Europe.
Don't touch!

How about a pitch clock in baseball, or is that too 20th century for MLB?

Yes

9. NHL: Eliminate Delay Of Game On Pucks Sent Out Of The Defensive Zone
Yes, make it like icing. No penalty, but you can't change players.

11. NHL: Eliminate The Trapezoid Rule
Yes
quote:
12. Soccer: Have A Penalty Box Instead Of Yellow and Red Cards
No, but make diving an automatic yellow and possible suspension.

Seems like it's a legit part of strategy with managing your time outs.
I don't see the big deal

Eliminate dunking and make guys learn to shoot better
football man in motion forward Ok

#4: As it is now, when a player on team A hits the puck from behind the red line and it goes past the goal line, a player on team B has to touch it in order for icing to be called. This causes a lot of injuries because players from both teams are racing to be the first person to touch the puck. Full speed hitting the boards is pretty dangerous. Hybrid icing basically eliminates the collision with the boards. The ref will look at who is winning the race around the circles and make the call whether to call icing or not. If team A is winning the race, he call no icing and they keep playing. If team B is winning, he will blow the play dead which will give the players time to stop.
#9: If you are in your defensive zone, it you flick the puck over the glass out of play without it being deflected, you will get a 2 minute delay of game penalty. It really a huge penalty late in games. I want to to make it similar to icing. You won't get a penalty, but you can't make a line change until after the face-off. The face-off will still take place in your defensive zone.

I've always favored raising the goal to '11. You would still have dunks, but guys would actually have to leave their feet to do so.

Beyond stupid.

So just foul constantly? Got it. Might as well turn the NBA into a free throw competition.

3. NFL: Make Pass Interference A 15-Yard Penalty
So when you are burned, just pull the guy down from behind or have the safety come across and tackle him before he gets the ball? Stupid. If they don't teach college kids this strategy they are dumb. If I was a college coach I'd tell all my DBs to do it.

Instant replay in baseball needs to happen. I never get why people would rather some umpire effect the outcome of a game instead of getting the call correct. It would take less time than having a 70 year old manager gimp onto the field and scream for 30 minutes and still nothing changes.
I'd do it for balls/strikes, everything. But im more interested in getting the calls right than preserving the outdated tradition of umpiring as we know it.

Im ok with this, and an automatic 1st down.
I also hate pass interference in the end zone puts the ball on the 1 yardline. Ruins a fantasy football game like nobody's business.

This rule is so completely counterintuitive to how the game is played. If a DB gets burned on a deep route for a TD, we don't take the points off the board and advance the ball 15 yards. The risk/reward need to balance out.
