Who are you talking to? The posters defending CJ, or the ones telling him to "sit down and shut up" because he is dissenting.

You're not too bright, or you're being an arse on purpose.

It is sad how hard it has become to tell the idiot Liberals from the idiot Conservatives. It's all just a bunch of idiots screaming for each other to shut up because "WE'RE right!"

I NEVER said who was right. NEVER. I just commented on the asshat telling dissenting opinions to shut up.(see first page to help you understand)

Typical rant/left wing bullshite. The so-called posi-gayterm-Tigers often tell those who disagree w/ them to shut up, go away.

This is a message board of opinions. There is a group that needs to quit whining and deal with those opinions.

Some admins too.

I'll take that as an acknowledgement that you are unable to refute any of my substantive points other than through obvious Strawmen, and yet lack the sense to leave the thread quietly so you must resort to what you learned when you were six. Good job.

If you were his brother, you probably would have grown up in the projects in Gulfport and wouldn't have a prayer for upward mobility unless you played a sport as well as Chris.

Another link up for discussion. Do you believe the NBA black-balled Mahmoud Abdul Rauf? His NBA career was never the same after he refused to stand for the national anthem.

The NBA is entertainment and no one was entertained by his actions or words.

He didn't eat on Sunday, he missed parts of meetings to pray, he became a game time distraction with his antics during the anthem, and he verbally shite on the USA.

He caused his own problems, but he appears blind to that simple fact.

He openly did something that he knew would make him less popular, and sure enough, he became less popular. Obviously teams were going to be less eager to sign him.

I remember one of the first games of the 1995-1996 season, Mahmoud scored 51 for Sacramento, and it was about that time that USA basketball was going to make the two final selections for their roster. Shaq campaigned vocally for Mahmoud's inclusion on the team, but I think they went with Gary Payton (probably the better choice, politics aside). Think of how interesting it would have been to see the reaction from fans at the Atlanta Olympics if Mahmoud was on that team.

It's not about religion u arse hat.
I didn't say anything about religion you impossibly ignorant buffoon. And for you information, the most famous person in our history who "turned his back on his country" because he was pissed at how it was being run was named George Washington. But you are clearly too dense to see that you are spitting on his image with your blind drivel. Pick up a book and learn some fricking history you douchebag, before you start hurling uninformed, baseless and idiotic insults at other people for shite they didn't say.

Yes, his views are dramatically incorrect. But you are insisting that anyone who criticizes anything about America is automatically and permanently a "piece of shite". Since that would include literally every president this country has ever had -- from Old Hickory and Reagan to Thomas Jefferson and Slick Willie -- along with every other significant figure in American history, you must be calling all of our founding fathers and our entire American Heritage nothing but pieces of shite. Well frick you, you America-hating dickhead, and why don't you go crawl back to whatever backwards-arse country you think is so great since you can't stand the freedom and liberty of the USA!!!

Yeah, I got that. I was in turn commenting that the asshat telling the dissenting opinions to shut up was himself addressing people who were telling a dissenting opinion (CJ's) to shut up. Sorry if it came across as harshness towards you. It was intended as a condemnation of the rampant arse-ness from various directions in this thread.

I get really frustrated when people start tossing around words like "unAmerican" in response to criticism of the US or it's policies. In CJ's case, it was simply a matter of ignorance and tremendous misinformation. So given the fact that he hasn't actually done anything to hurt anybody (to my knowledge), I just regard it as an act of ignorance and tremendous misinformation (and there are few things more American than political and historical ignorance and misinformation). Had he said, "I want America to be destroyed," or "I hate America," that would be difference. But the simple misbelief that America's considerable history of supporting tyranny eclipses its far broader history of supporting freedom and liberty is neither evil nor unAmerican. It's just wrong.

Get out of here with that bullshite. Its thinking like that keeps holding back a lot of young blacks. Instead of it being pounded into them from a young age that they can be anything they want to be. Instead ppl like you spout off with this bullshite they don't have a pray to improve and move their family upward in life. So what happens, these grow up believing this and don't even try to better themselves. Liberals like you always want to scream racism and such at others. But you all are the worst of all with this mentally. This isn't 1860, this 2013. It was the same in 1988. If a young person white or black is willing to work for they can achieve anything. You could actually make a case that a young minority has a even better chance because of there being so many programs out there for young minorities.

At first i thought that all the dopes still making a big deal about Mahmoud's criticism of America's past were no different from Mahmoud himself, but that isn't a good comparison since Mahmoud was mature enough to realize the error of his ways and learn from his mistakes, making him the better than his stubborn, petty critics (yes, I said he's better than you).

So I'm going to stop comparing Mahmoud's critics to Mahmoud and start comparing them to Natalie Maines, a chubby broad who thinks that her opinions about this country matter at all and thinks she's brave for yapping them.

This is a myth podnuh.

And it's one big reason why hundreds of thousands are crippled in student loan debt for the rest of their lives and depression/suicide is steadily increasing.
