I really don't think anyone here has a problem with Stony Brook. It was the LSU fans' actions that some people have a problem with.

This is what I'm referring to. God forbid adults show a little class to a bunch of 20 year old kids. I've seen plenty of the opposite going to the box when I was at LSU. Lots of 45 year old men bowing up to 18 or 19 year old relief pitchers when the kid finally acknowledges them after 15 minutes of the fans talking shite....but I'm sure this same element of the fanbase that is upset about the sportsmanship towards stony brook probably think this type of thing is cool.

Those people really need to get a life when you have to create things to bitch about. Probably 90% of the sports world wouldn't see this as a negative.
Fans wouldn't do it for FSU. They did it for Stony Brook because most people didn't have a clue SB had a team before the post season.

nice gesture on his part....it's appreciated. stony brook came in here and just outplayed us last year and pulled off a major upset, kudos to them. People need to get over it. In all honestly, I think it really helped motivate this team throughout the year/last off season.

They had the " geaux Stoney brook " signs because they had tix purchased already. Why not cheer for the underdog. So now its wrong to cheer for a team. This place is full off retards.

Meh. It's not like a large portion of the fanbase did this. A small number of folks probably had non refundable tickets/love college baseball. They have to cheer for someone. I had hoped SB would win it all. Guys played their asses off.

It was the attention-whorish, look at me, we are the classiest fans in the universe attitude that oozed through the TV when I saw those signs that bothered everyone.

For sure. The lack of perspective by some is quite evident. Must be nice to be able to have such little going on that a couple of college baseball fans with a few signs causes you to get worked up.

Wrong.... It shows we love baseball. Even though our team didnt make it we would still show up, use our tix, spend our money, and watch some baseball.... Unreal this thread is still going on over a good luck tweet from another school.
