Yeah but the last two matrix movies are horrendous.
Oh and they were, but why is Dany's scene considered more like that, and not more like Maximus being carried out of the Coliseum? I don't have an answer, just wonderin.

Probably because we haven't seen much drama with this group of people...at this city, there's been a lot more "tell" than "show," so it feels unearned.

Dany's scene was interesting in terms of how she's become a mother in a much broader sense, having lost her baby in season one
Maybe I'm the minority, but I don't find myself pulling for her to succeed or find her storyline to be overly-interesting. (I like her more now that Robb and Ned are dead bc she seems to be an actual threat to Tywin).
To each his own tho.
BTW, can someone summarize the Bran anecdote about the cook and the white dragon? I could've used some captions on that one...

I don't think anybody has even mentioned Brienne. I'm interested in her role going forward, as she has no Cat to serve.
I feel like Jamie is going to have some type of redemption after all he's dealt with since merking the Mad King.
Theon, I would imagine has some type of rise. I'm sure it'll be the end of next season before he is rescued.. but he may end up being lord of the Iron Islands after all. His dad clearly isn't going to withdraw his troops.
Arya to Essos/Bravos, all her influential friends hail from Bravos.
Jon becomes leader of the Nights Watch.
Maester Aemon starts to play a bigger part in series. I like that he's one of the only two Targs left. He could shed light on many things in the future and be that wise influence on Jon.
Red Witch working for Ser Davos now?! Wtf!! I like that shite! Don't know how well they work together, could be a brilliant team or disaster.

The rat story? They were trying to show how in that world killing someone in your house is a bad bad thing and the gods will hit you hard.
Walder Frey is going to get it with no lube, hopefully sooner than later.

rat guy (knight of the watch) kills king's son, feeds him to king
gods turn him into a rat that is forever hungry and can only eat its own children
the gods take vengeance not so much for the murder or cannibalism, but because he betrayed a guest

She fulfilled her promise to Catelyn of seeing Jaime back to Kings Landing. I think that parting scene was her last.

Isn't her dad the Lord of something and has stacks of cash? Maybe her family becomes a player... or maybe she ends up with Jaime somehow romantically

Yeah for sure- I don't see him just slipping into his old smug robes

His dad was on the leech fire pit, so I assume he's toast soon. I'd imagine Theon has some redemption left for betraying Robb. I guess he'll have to answer to someone from the Stark clan at some point

I think the broken oath and Ygritte will cause some barriers there.

Yeah I assume he'll play some role... Stannis should be headed his way as well.

2. Where did Hodor come from?
I forgot the exact conversation, but someone asked him that in the first season and apparently he's from the nation of Hodor.
The Daeny scene as well as the Varys/Tyrion's woman scene sucked, but I'm not getting the hate for this episode. A below average episode, but definitely not terrible. The Arya scene was awesome, and I loved when Hound asked if it was the first guy she'd killed, and she had the aura of "first, not last" about her. Definitely seems like she's going off to Braavos to learn how to be an assassin. I get the feeling that she may never command an army, but she's going to be able to kill high ranking people that throw wars all topsy turvy.

I doubt it, she is of noble birth iirc. Just not one of the major houses.

no. it's the sapphire isle b/c of the water or something, not b/c of sapphires

And that's a shitload of people that Dany freed, but they looked like they could be more trouble than they're worth. I don't know how you feed that many people in the middle of a desert. And good luck getting the boats to transport them. It may be a good idea for her to double back on that rich city, but they've got the undying sorcerer fellas waiting for her.

Forgot about that! Was preoccupied when watching that scene. And didn't understand why he would've been someone Stannis needed dead.

Don't men of the Nights Watch sneak south to get some arse, it's just a hush hush thing amongst them?! And nobody in the NW knows about their sexy time. Nonissue if you ask me

I also though the Ygritte/Jon Snow scene was good, mainly bc it was no bullshite.
Jon pleas in a very "Stark-manner" to Ygritte, says "I want to go home" (Robb-esque) and "I did what I had to do" (Ned-esque). Ygritte promptly replies with a volley of arrows . Very GGRM.

Damn, that's a far fricking way to go.. Isn't Stannis pretty much as far south as you can go in Westeros? Would be like traveling from the bottom of Mexico to Canada
