He does have a good breaking pitch and basically the fastball is fast enough where scouts like it just because of the speed (low-mid 90s). I agree the fastball tends to be a meatball though with ZERO movement.
He sure looked overpowering his last outing in the regional, curve ball was really snapping off. Granted that was only one outing.

Yes, Rumbelow's last outing he had the breaking pitch dominating. I think that's the main reason scouts like him. He can be dominant with that pitch.

I had no idea Garrett Williams was still available...did he ever sign with anyone?
He is "for sure" going to college. Pretty sure Todd Walker told him he wasn't ready for the big leagues!

Another good name. Stone Speer of UNO

Adam, how big of an impact do you expect the freshmen to make next year??

Did Mainieri go after him?
He didn't like Maineri. Said he felt that Maineri was blowing him off and wasn't that serious about him!

Y'all still thinking Ross is gone?

I think there's definitely a better chance he stays now than if he was drafted in the Top 10 rounds
But nobody knows what he is actually thinking.

Huge impact. It's a deep class with quality and quantity.
I could see 2-3 freshman getting major playing time. Pitching is obviously going to have to come in and step up fast.

So...
C: Ross/Chinea/Barash
1B: Longhi/Moore/Chinea/Barash
2B: Foster/Dean/Robertson (Hale likely doesn't come here)
3B: Ibarra/Moore/Robertson
SS: Bregman/Robertson/Dean
LF: McMullen/Fraley/Sciambra
CF: Stevenson/DeHart/Fraley
RF: Laird/Sciambra/Foster
DH: Moore or hot bat.
SP: Nola
SP: Glenn
SP: Reynolds/Newman/Broussard/Bugg/Williams
Not even going to attempt the bullpen.

I would be extremely surprised if Stevenson was starting next season.

With the incoming talent, Stevenson would have to up his BA about 120 points to be starting.

I think he may have to up his hitting enough to show he's at least somewhat capable of hitting college pitching to even remain on the team. We are bringing in some serious OF talent this class between DeHart and Fraley alone. With Laird really get his feet underneath him he has the range to be Stevenson in the OF plus be a much better slap hitter than Stevenson has shown to be.

Any chance Ibarra goes to short and Bregman goes to second? With Moore to third and Longhi to first.
