I haven't had time to really dissect the two. Can someone give me a quick comparison minus the adderall comments and snide remarks that require no IQ??
Thanks in advance...

Carlos Rodon is better than both of them.
Hope this helps.

Stanek sits in low 90s.
Gray sits in the mid to upper 90s.

Gray is better when he has taken his pills.....

Stanek is a low to mid 90s guy. I'd say he predominantly stays in the mid 90s.
I would describe Nola as a low 90s guy.

Grey is much better per MLB. A WWL radio sportscaster predicted a loss to OU in the first game.

I've seen both pitch multiple times.
Gray throws harder and has a sharper slider than Stanek. I've also see Stanek get roughed up and lose his head, which I've never seen Gray do.
On the other hand, Stanek changes speeds a bit better than Gray. He does a better job at keeping hitters off balance.
Toughest thing about Gray is his arm slot is pretty similar on all of his pitches. Batters have a tough time seeing the difference in the fastball and slider. When they guess right on a fastball, they can hit him. Usually, that happens early in a game before he's shown the off-speed a bunch. Once he has shown the slider and hitters can't guess as much, he's been tough as nails.

Jonathon Gray - has a fastball that sits in the upper 90's and can touch 100 MPH. Throws 3 pitches most of the time: fastball, a plus slider, a pretty good changeup, but will throw an occasional curveball as well. More polished than Stanek.
Ryne Stanek - Fastball that sits in the mid 90's. Four pitch guy - Fastball, curve, slider and changeup. Fastball has more movement than Gray but he doesn't throw quite as hard as Gray.

I'll compare them with all you need to know.
1. Jonathan Gray is a confirmed doper.
2. Ryne Stanek is not believed to be a doper.

especially it it's flat and doesn't move...Example: Beau Hale from Texas years ago. Great velocity, but no movement.
If Coastal Carolina can touch up Gray, then so can we.

Ryan Stanek, 10-2, 1.39 ERA
Jonathan Gray, 10-2, 1.59 ERA
Aaron Nola, 11-0, 1.82 ERA
FTR, I would take Nola. He doesn't lose.

If either of them has their best stuff you may get 4-5 hits. They need to be timely with an error or two thrown in for good measure to score 2-4 runs.

Every post you make over here is about NC State. No one here gives a shite!
Keep that crap on the MSB if you want to brag about the Pack all the time.
