Idk I haven't watched ESPN but maybe 5-6 times while cleaning house since 1/9.
I don't watch much TV. Either kids shows with my son or HBO/starz type movie/shows.
Get all my sports news from the web.

while i don't mind ESPN3, i would much rather them have a channel dedicated that will play regional coverage. If i live in Baton Rouge, show me the Baton Rouge regional only and so forth.
ESPN3 should be for people that don't live near their home team.
Why the hell would anyone outside of alabama want to watch Bama and Troy play on ESPNU? Do the regional coverage thing, like they used to do for the basketball tournament.
I used to like watching the the CBS sports feeds for the tournament before they wised up and put every game on TV.
I know they can't do that for baseball b/c it's not popular enough, but at least do the regional thing on a certain channel, like ESPNU.

How much does espn3 cost?
Most cable and satellite providers, it is a free add-on.
You can't subscribe directly to ESPN 3, at least not yet to the best of my knowledge.

Even with the laptop hardwired the other two are so much better.
I noticed that too. The picture on my phone was perfect over LTE, perfect on my ipad over wifi and perfect on my laptop over wifi... When I hardwired the laptop, and connected it to my TV via hdmi cable, the quality of the picture was not so great.
I watched all of our game on my phone because I was out and about doing things I didn't want to be doing, but watched the ull game on my laptop to tv rig. Probably just stick with the ipad today.

The espn xbox app is really great. Full HD quality stream and tons of content to choose from. If you have cable TV service as well you can also watch anything that's on espn, espn2, espnU, and espn3 through the same interface.

I gave away my xbox. The espn app is the one thing I miss. No clue why ps3 doesn't get in line with that app.

Espn3 performs almost as well on the mobile app as it does on any decent laptop. If you are having trouble with the app, it's likely an issue with your cellular Internet speeds.
Now, if you try to stream from a mobile device to a larger tv, you might run into processing problems.
All in all, espn3 is a great product. Anyone complaining likely has a shitty Internet connection.

Us poor folks thinks it sucks as we can't get espn3 on tv. And don't have an x-box or lab top.

If the game looked great on your laptop but not your tv, look at your picture/zoom setting and make sure you're on natural or something that sounds close.
That said, you could have a tv with a slow response time, so it isn't handling the streaming well.

Had it on my Xbox....man was it the shite.
Same here. I used my 360, and watched it on a 60 in. No lagging, HD was good. I enjoyed it! The commentator guys are pretty lame tho.

I think it's great. I watched the game driving back from Destin yesterday. The commentators, the color guy in particular, sucked. He kept repeating the same shite all game about Eades bad day and the injuries.

Wait until the first time the image is so blurry you can't tell what's going on. Or it starts reloading every 30 seconds or just cuts out all together. Maybe they have it fixed now but it has done that in the past.

If you have an iPhone, you can download the app

Small chance it was an ESPN server issue. Much bigger chance there was a problem with your Internet.

Watched it through my Xbox it was HD and awesome, watched four or five games near their ending. The Oregon state walk off was cool

This is fairly simple. To get a decent viewing experience of an HD stream, you need at minimum 5-7 Mbps (bits, not bytes). If you test your connection with dslreports.com or other speedtester and don't get this regularly, you picture won't be good. And, if your Aunt Margie is downloading or streaming music or Uncle Perv is watching porn, factor that in...

Not me, as a matter of fact, I hate it. I have Directv (Cox internet) and am apparently blocked.
Since the NFL Network is available only on Directv and not on Cox Cable, I will be forced to choose between the two.
I wonder if the new SEC Network will be available to both...
