2BD is the NOLA Irish Channel Stout. Good, but a step-down from the Timber Beast, IMO. Also, outside of the beer The Bulldog is NOT my scene. At least not right now. Learning experience.

Too loud. Too many people ordering pitchers of Bud Light or Woodchuck. But that might be atypical. Really like the bartenders. Good to talk beer with.

FBD is a ST Live while waiting for the crawfish to finish up. Really loving this pale. Light but has a great fruit/hop aroma.

no that's the norm. it's not a huge spot for beer nerds although you will see plenty of people trying out non-BMC stuff. but yeah, lots of standard ordering going on there. last time I was there with Wise some guy ordered a pint of Shiner Ruby Red Bird and a pint of Abita Lemon Wheat

they're okay for the most part. a couple can be a bit douchey at times.

It's hit and miss like that, but generally its a pretty crowded place. I almost never sit inside though. NBD for me, will prob hit Ave Pub for lunch and a beer before coming home to listen/watch the game. fricking ESPN.

I enjoy the Bulldog but I agree with the range of people. Nothing against the BMC type but don't look at me like I'm weird for ordering a craft beer.

Well I have to say I've never had that feeling there, and I usually find the bartenders to be pretty cool and at least baseline knowledgeable when you want to talk beer. eta: We desperately need another beer bar though. Two isn't enough for a city this size that drinks this much.

Yeah, it was pretty packed outside but there was a spot at the bar. I had a girl with blue highlights. She was cool. So I guess one of the bartenders was good. Walked down to Balcony Bar for a 3BD, Hopitoulas, and I guess a burger. Some sort of food.

dear god man please get the frick out of there. the food is sewage and they never clean their tap lines.

do yourself a favor and walk down to Rendezvous and order something to-go from Gott Gourmet and walk it back over to the bar for the Heat/Pacers game. i may come over there in a bit actually.

Last time I was in there they had a new tap system. Hopefully they have gotten the distributor or another professional to take over line maintenance for their new setup. A lot of money to pour down the drain if they won't maintain it.

Oh shite. Sewage? Glad I haven't ordered. True story, this Hopitoulas doesn't taste as good as the one I had the other day. Oops.

I'm just exploring, completely new to the area. Gonna bail out of here and I guess head to Rendezvous.
