Best and worst superhero celebrity castings...

I know how much you guys hated Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern, but after watching the new Judge Dredd, I realized how much Sylvester Stallone sucked as the Mega City Lawman. Still, I think both were better than George Clooney as Batman.
This makes me believe celebrities shouldn't be cast as superheroes. But Sir Patrick Stewart was great as Professor X and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. So who are the best and worst celebrity superheroes...in your opinion?
And let's not forget the villains because Tommy Lee Jones really sucked as Two-face.

I really like Hugh Jackman and have become accustomed to him as Wolverine but that casting was terrible at the time. Now imagine someone like Tom Hardy as Wolverine.

a more interesting question would be comparing acting jobs by the same actor who has been cast in multiple superhero/villain roles

Brandon Routh was cast because he looked like Christopher Reeve.
Just so I don't rehash the same names. Pfieffer was a good Catwoman even though the movie was God awful.
Reynolds sucked as Green Lantern. Should have been a black guy.

Routh gets unfair treatment here - he looked the part of Clark and Superman - the Story itself was terrible.
