Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. I recommend this if you like action flicks.

Just got finished watching it.
It was the quintessential action flick and very fun to watch. I really enjoyed it. Tom Cruise always does the best action flicks.
The story is very solid even for an action flick. I also liked you could hear every punch and kick. There are moments where I really think Cruise is made of steel but that's ok because I really think he is lol. Also iirc he did a majority of the stunts in this movie, even the one at the tallest building in Dubai. Oh and Paula Patton was smoking hot in this movie especially at that party in India.
Overall fun and great movie. I hope they do another Mission Impossible. Go watch it.

Watched this on Mother's Day. It wasn't award winning or anything but it was a really fun watch.

Seen it more than once. I enjoy mindless action flicks like this more regularly than movies that "make you think." Although I have half a mind to put in Never Let Me Go right now. I have no idea why. Movie is depressing as shite.

Yet again, I agree with you. Best action film made in years. I'm not really talking about from a plot perspective, but its a film that knows exactly what type of action works, when to use it, and how to build up suspense.
An action scene in and of itself should be a stand alone movie that makes perfect sense even without seeing anything that happens before or after it. It should be its own little story with a beginning, climax, and end. So many action movies have forgotten this, and think people simply punching each other in the face and then killing each other is good action.
Can you really remember a real action sequence in the Transformers movies or any Roland Emmerich movie very vividly (aside from it provoking rage)? Aside from "The Rock", I know I sure as hell can't. Even though I haven't seen this movie in a year and a half, I can still remember every action scene very vividly and remember the suspense I felt. More movies should do that these days, but I think the good action movie is almost a lost art, although a rare jewel comes in every once in a while, like last week's Star Trek that was also a damn good action movie.

Describes this movie perfectly.

Honestly, I can't. In transformers, it was one big jumbled mess and the fights were and action sequences were usually not well choreographed. You couldn't tell what was going on and it was hard to keep track.

I saw it on IMAX when it came out.
The skyscraper scene nearly made me shite my pants.

Tom cruise makes entertaining movies. The guy Is bat shite crazy, but he can entertain the shite out of me

Also, the prison scene at the beginning was an example of what kind of scenes should be in an action movie. That was pretty damn good.

Tom Cruise signed on for M:I5 two weeks ago. He and JJ Abrams will produce again.

If I remember correctly, I think I preferred 3.

Three had the better story and villain, but 4 was the better film in my opinion.

Agree with that as well. As well as I remember the action sequences from MI:GP, I don't really remember the villains at all.
The villain though in MI:III, yeah, I remember him pretty damn well. He was pretty fricked up and terrifying. Phillip Seymour Hoffman just nails it. Love it when they're interrogating him and how he tells Cruise how much he is going to frick up his wife. Great and memorable scene.
Both are clearly better than the first, and especially the clusterfrick that is the second.

Well when you have Seymour Hoffman, you make the villain as big of a focal point as you can.
When you have Michael Nyqvist, you make the IMF team the focal point.

Fair assessment. I can see why y'all'd prefer 3
I enjoyed the Dubai sequence.
Villain was so weak though

I feel like Paula Patton could snap my cock off if she was riding me. Bitch is muscular.
