LSU (21-6) needs two wins this weekend to earn the best single season SEC record in school history. The current record is held by the 86' and 97' teams with 22 wins.
LSU is 5-1 in extra innings games in 2013. They are also 13-3 in games decided by 2 runs or less.
LSU has 16 come from behind wins this year.
This is going to be the last regular season series for a group of LSU Seniors starting with Mason Katz, Raph Rhymes, Joey Bourgeois, Chris Cotton, Alex Edward, Kevin Berry, Casey Yocum, and Brent Bonvillain. (Other players might also opt for the MLB after the draft by until a contract is signed, it isn't official)
When LSU scores more than 6 runs, they are 19-0 this year. And when leading after 7 innings, LSU is 41-0.
Sean McMullen has more doubles in SEC play (12) than 10 Ole Miss players combined.
Alex Bregman has 7 Triples, Ole Miss has 10 as a team.
Bobby Wahl is as legit as it gets in the SEC and should give LSU trouble so don't be shocked if he shuts us down in game 3. He only allows an Opp BA .177 and has an ERA of 1.43. But he will be going against Ryan Eades, another projected MLB first rounder, so it should be an amazing pitchers duel.
In 7 seasons, CPM has won 4 SEC West titles, 2 SEC Overall Titles, 3 SEC Tournament Titles, 2 Coach of the Year Awards, 304 Wins (Second Most in School History), and has led LSU to a record 46 regular season wins, most since the 56 game season format began in 1992.
Oh and a National Title in 2009 which was the same year we won the SEC West in back to back seasons, 2008 and 2009. We won the SEC West in 2012 and now in 2013, the back end of a back to back...JUST SAYIN!

I would also like to point out that I will be there tonight, in my normal seat, the douche with the purple shirt and sitting behind the LSU dugout in the grandstands.
In case you see me on TV. You guys can then go on and tell me to wave, make weird faces, or do something crazy like that annoying little kid last weekend.

Eh. Opposites, though.
SEC West in 2008, SEC West and SEC in 2009.
SEC West and SEC in 2012, SEC West in 2013.

If somehow we don't make Omaha this would be the first 4 year senior class to miss all 4 years since 1985 right?

And nearly any other year this would be more than enough to the win the regular season SEC title. But Vanderbilt's SEC record is just unbelievable this year.
