LSU will have a great recuiting haul this year.
The success of the program, the conference and Miles' abilities dictates year in and out expectations of top 10, if not top 5 finishes.
Through luck, La. finds itself with a buttload of top 150 players this year. And a few out of state recruits are diaspora Tigers (Clark, for example).
The real contest is over Cam Robinson who is the top OL this year and may be one of the best we've ever recruited. Appears to me he is a priority for Ala.
But, LSU really needs him,IMO, even more than it needed Landon Collins year before last. CamRob type talent is not readily available either on campus or in the next couple of classes. We could lose Collins and still recruit others without a big fall off in talent.
Having a top 5 class this year will happen. But real achievement means getting LF AND CamRob.

LSU will win plenty of games with or without Cam Robinson. If he wants to go elsewhere fine, Les and crew will find another OT who wants to play for LSU

false.

LSU doesn't need a 5 star OT to win games.

We won a NC with sophomore 3 star LT.

I'd say the situation as it was with Landon Collins. If he decides to go elsewhere, then let him go. Being that the depth is pretty deep on the OL, there is apparently no back up plan for Robinson.

If they were thin, they would have made OL a priority and had back up plans and would have been able to land another OT just as talented.

You guys are just freaking out over this because he's a 5* guy in Louisiana.

I'm done worrying about these kids. If LSU doesn't land an in-state kid, they'll just replace him with an elite talent OOS. Period.

Groundbreaking stuff. Someone should email this to the coaching staff IMMEDIATELY!

For a member of 2007, you should know this belongs in the RB by now

Nonsense. Robinson is a great prospect and it would great to have him in the class, but if we don't get him, then we just go get another good OT prospect.

Given the amount of talent in the state this year, LSU should finish with a Top 3 class. We cannot afford to be outdueled by conference rivals for in-state juggernauts like LF and CR.

Way more than Landon Collins.

I agree with you for the first time ever.

Having a once in a decade OT to pave the way for LF would be huge. Games, especially SEC games, are won in the trenches.

Anyone who thinks LSU's recruiting success depends on a single recruit is--how can I say this?--a nitwit

It would be great to get him, but these guys are one injury away from never playing again. One player doesn't really mean that much on an 85 man roster. Would love to have him, though...
