Well TigerHam85, we do agree on one thing: Pluckers. Wings are huge and good, sides are legit, and the Pluckers card rewards are awesome.

It's $6, that's why it's not overrated IMO.
I'm not saying it's not a decent deal, it's just WAY too highly regarded for what it actually is.
In my opinion.

NOW we're talking overrated up in here.
My only visit to Curbside was when they had the truck parked somewhere on Perkins at a place that you had to negotiate your way over standing water to get to the truck after you had parked your vehicle.
There were 2 people in front of me who were taking forever to make their ordering decision so I left....No Curbside for me. I wonder if it's because the food is coming from a truck, and that uniqueness makes people overstate how good the food truck food really is?

I want to know how fat a person has to be to leave Chang's hungry. Really.

I don't think it's that. Here in lafayette the food truck scene is huge, but it's some of the best things I've ever eaten. There's a hot dog truck that's hands down the best dog I've had, and a fry truck that's hands down the best fries I've ever had.
I enjoy curbside burgers while I'm in BR because my friends love them and I just go with the flow. I don't think it's the best burger ever, but I don't know of many in BR that are that good.

again, not many praise pasttime for their awesome food, so it can't be considered overrated IMO..i like pastime ok.

Poboys there may be good, but their pizza is pure crap.

I have never had a bad meal from chimes, and the beer menu makes it an even better place.
See my previous post in this thread.
Overrated doesn't = bad. It means exactly what it says.. Overrated.
Chimes is listed as the number one restaurant in Baton Rouge on several online lists. I visit chimes from time to time (mostly late night because its one of the few places serving food until midnight), but I do not think its anywhere near the best restaurant in Baton Rouge.

Chimes is definitely an overrated restaurant

Tigerham, I love you but I don't think you're grasping what he means by overrated.
AM Mart is one I completely agree with. People listed that place in their top 10 best restaurant in BR when we had that thread..
What!?
It's literally cold cut sandwiches in a convenience store. The deal is just okay financially too..

That hamburger place by Chimes. Raul's maybe? Ugh. When it opened people raved. The fries were unbearably salty, the food generally too greasy, and they were even stingy with ketchup.

good call. Raul's burgers are terrible. don't understand why people go nuts over them.

The meat is good, IMO, but the buns are the lowest possible quality, the fries suck, and the employees are THE biggest dumbasses I've ever encountered at an establishment like that.

the meat is the worst part. tastes like dense 3 day old meatloaf left in a smelly basketball sneaker.

I guess I'm just looking at my personal experiences at these places and not viewing a list of "the best restaurants BR has to offer".
I've never seen a list anyway, so I surely didn't know chimes was listed at 1. Though if a writer is taking into account lsu atmosphere/tradition good drinks and prices, along with pretty good food, chimes would be rated pretty high. As for Am Mart being said its a top 10 restaurant, that is absurd. It's not even a restaurant, but I will argue that it's one of the best bangs for your buck in the area, and much better than subway.

Ill agree with that. I had Raul's 1 time about 6 years ago and I doubt ill ever go back.
Ill also say that wahada sushi is overrated. All the students in that area rave about it being the best sushi around but I think it's by far the worst. The drunken fish doesn't get enough love.
