Probably will never go to Roberto's.
Nothing is on their menu that I can't get in BR... and it's just not a type of food neither me nor Jones ever wants anyway, so the drive wouldn't be worth it.

Yes. Jubans food is better.
Galatoires food is consistently underwhelming.

I agree 100% with Galatoire's... the BR location sucks hard.

The service sucks too. I was there recently and sat on the patio. They had the bartenders running back and forth serving the bar and waiting tables.
Seriously?

not to mention, isn't the owner of George's the douche who tried to put the food trucks out of business?

The one in Houston is amazing. Curious what makes this overrated in BR?

I have personally had multiple bad experiences there.

As far as chains go, there are much worse.

Jones, just curious, but what do you get at PF Changs? That place just plain sucks. The portions are extremely small, and prices are high.

I think Fleming's in BR is great.
I've had dinner on the floor, a holiday brunch on the floor, and several visits in the bar area during 5-6-7
The 5-6-7 is the best deal to be had in BR.

Only been to PF Chang's a handful of times and I certainly wouldn't even place it in the top 30 restaurants in BR.. but I don't think it's bad just because it's a chain.
They have a permanent prix fixe menu that is two soups, an appetizer, two entrees, and a dessert for $40.
That's a damned good deal and way more food than two people can consume.
And it's not just like 5 entrees to choose from. It's something like 6 chicken dishes, 6 beef dishes, 6 seafood dishes, etc. And you get to choose from 10 or so appetizers too.

First time I went to Fleming's was a total clusterfrick. I didn't even have to complain -- the manager gave me a gift certificate and told us to come back.
We did. Unfortunately we went during an LSU football game and the chefs spent the entire time gathered around the TV set instead of preparing our food. I don't care if they're LSU fans or not. That is unacceptable in a supposed fine dining establishment. Once again we had multiple mistakes with our order. The manager, not knowing that we were already there for our "give us another chance" meal, attempted to give me another gift certificate. I told him to keep it.
