Easy answer: This is an LSU based message board and Ingram went to Bama.
Dude I am as LSU fanboi as they get, I go to every game, the whole nine yards. But I still think Ingram has it in him to play in this league. Either with us or someone else.

Didn't the Pats call Sullivan a fat tub of goo, or something like that right before they cut him?

I remember getting into an argument with my friend that the Saints should draft Eddie George and he thought that would be a bad pick.
Every once in a while, I let him have it when I go in town and see him

Seriously, how fricked up does one's front office have to be, to ever think that the 11th pick in the NFL draft should be used on a freaking kicker?
Younger Saints fans have no idea how good they have it these days.

Russel Erxleben has to be. Who in their right mind picks a punter no. 1

I say Ricky Williams. All the hype and not just a first round but the entire draft for what? Look at a few of the names following his in the draft.

Then I wasn't referring to you.
Ingram gets a lot of hate because he went to Bama. Not saying there isn't plenty reason to criticize his lack luster running, because there is, but the Bama hate gets annoying.

I was present for the SF blunder. It was inside the 30 yard line...when he "shanked it", the dome went SILENT...you coulda heard a mouse fart. Pitiful.

Erxleben was before my time.
Jonathan Sullivan is my choice

That hurt us in more ways than him not being what they thought he would be.
One of the worst moves of all time. Erxleben is still the worst first rounder of all time though, not just for the Saints, but in the history of the draft.

Williams at least produced. It is offset somewhat also in that after 3 seasons the Saints were still able to parlay Williams into two 1st Rd & one 4th Rd pick from the Dolphins.

And one of those picks became Sullivan!

Shawn Knight was worse than Sullivan. The Saints traded him to Denver after one season for their '87 1st round bust, Ted Gregory. Gregory had a bad knee ( or knees) and I don't think he ever played a down for the Saints.
Knight lasted a year in Denver and then spent a year w/ the Cardinals. He was out of the NFL after 3 years. One career start, played in 31 games. ZERO tackles! His only recorded stat in a fumble recovery.
The guy had a great career at BYU, but he had no business in the NFL.

It's always a tough shootout for the Alltime Worst of anything Saints.
Bad picks or trades started before they were a team. Traded the #1 overall in 1967 for a backup QB that couldn't win the job over Kilmer.
my own hijack/ Anyone else old enough to remember Kilmer? He might be one of the closest to Tebow like Qbs ever. Couldn't run as good but very similar.
Back to 1967... so they trade away #1 and got an extra 1st Rder as an expansion team. Who was that? Les Kelley a FB from Alabama. He was so bad he never had an NFL carry. They tried him at LB and he was out of football in two years.

Gary Couzzo (Cuozzo? Something like that) is the guy Kilmer replaced for the Saints. He had been the Colts backup QB, playing behind a guy named Unitas. Never did squat for the Saints.
Kilmer had a great career at UCLA and was drafted in the 1st round by the 49ers. They played him at RB because John Brodie was QB (Y.A. Tittle may have still been on the team too.) He was in a bad car accident and had a severely broken leg. It almost ended his career. I remember my father telling me he almost had to have it amputated.
He did okay for the Saints, considering the situation he was in. He had several really good years with the Redskins. I believe he put Sonny Jurgenson on the bench.
