Started the year 18-96 (.188 was his low point, going into the UK series)

Since then is 23-53 (.434)

Total average is up to .275

Where are the assholes who were ready to ship him off to Class A Siberia of the Russian League? Do you now understand that maybe..just maybe...things even out over a long season and good ballplayers get it turned around? Good job by him and the coach for getting his head and his game back in gear.

You realize that he got benched the game before the Kentucky series? He also got benched last week and he's been really hot since then.

Sometimes a kid just needs a day off.

His turnaround began after the Missouri announcer clowned him on air.

This place is so stupid at times. Most people who saw what was happening with JJ called for him to be benched...which is what happened.

Can't have it both ways. .

Jacoby

I'm glad he picked his game up. He's one of my favorite players.

I must admit to being on the fence with him.
I never realy wanted him out of the lineup, mostly for his defense.

I guess his ups and downs at the plate seem to last longer than other hitters, although some of his downs earlier he was knocking the ball around, they just didn't fall in.

When 2-6 were tearing the cover off the ball, I just looked at any hit he got as a bonus.
