Should public speaking be a new curriculum all future tigers to take.

IN Mathieu's acceptance interview after he was picked in the draft, I found myself wanting it to end but the questions just kept coming. Too many you knows and man this and man that. It's man this, Man that, even if a woman is doing the interview. Ke Ke and Reid don't have this problem. Mathieu's language was right out of the hood. Am I wrong or is this the new acceptable way to speak.

you can't remove what's in these kids sad to say, they just have to grow up through it....unfortunately this trend will never end as these types of players will always be around as long as we want to be a winner

They didn't have it coming in to LSU either.
I'm sure most athletes take a speech class at some point. They also get media training.
With both, you get back what you put in.

I heard him on ESPN radio. After the clip I expected SVP and Rusillo to make fun of his speech, but they held back.
I mean, it's not just that these kids speak a certain way coming up, it's their refusal to improve as they get out into the real world. I guess you have your arse kissed long enough you figure why change? It's embarrassing.

frankly, Mathieu came across as pretty emotional during the ESPN interview. I almost thought he was going to cry...

It was awful. I've never seen him communicate so poorly.

No one could be worse than DJ Fluker. Representing Alabama School System top to bottom.

I was in a public speaking class at LSU with Chad Jones. Some of them are forward thinkers. I remember one time specifically where the assignment was to make a speech about your dream job. Chad did his on being a supermarket shelf stocker. The PowerPoint he had associated with it was on point professional quality.

Had public speaking class with Xavier Carter and Tyson Jackson.
Tyson = best speaker in the class
Xavier = not so much.
Both great guys.
I don't think one semester made any improvements to me or those two.

OMG listen to a Mettenberger interview. Every answer starts with uuuhhhhh and then every seventh or eighth word after that... He is extremely difficult to follow and listen to. I feel bad for him because he is interviewed a lot.
I have to say that having CLM as a public speaking coach is not optimum...

English is taught in every grade. They know how to speak. But when you have thug role models you choose to speak that way. Blame America for making it cool and calling it Swag.
