It'll be interesting to see if he is able to make that roster for NY. I've noticed they like to carry big, blocking TEs.

They've used Bear Pascoe (6'5", 283) as their blocking TE the last few years, but he's not on the roster anymore. I saw him line up at TE & FB at times to be the lead blocker in the running game.

CC is consistent with his blocking. IMO, his biggest weakness at LSU was finishing blocks. Defensive players were often able to knock him off his base (then CC would generally start lunging & reaching), and then eventually shed/slip his block, but even then, they usually weren't a factor in the play. Minor weakness. It's asking a lot for a blocker to be consistently dominant throughout the play. So, even though he didn't always finish dominantly, he was still extremely effective at neutralizing his man.

Overall, I think he was a great blocking TE at LSU. I don't know if he has the raw power the Giants are looking for, but I hope he's able to stick on the roster. According to ESPN, the Giants have 4 TEs on the roster right now:

Brandon Myers - 6'3", 256
Adrien Robinson - 6'4", 264
Larry Donnell - 6'6", 269
Jamie Childers - 6'5", 230

I wonder if he'll try to make the move to tackle

It's tough to see into the future, but when he made the move from DE to TE his freshman year he should have maybe put on a few more LBs and went from DE to LT. I think he could have been a monster their and if you look at what's getting you far these days in the NFL is a team with an athletic LT. Look at the first two picks of the draft this year. Theres no doubt he has the frame to make this move, just would have been neat to see it happen sooner.

At LSU though he left it all on the field. Proud of the Thibodaux Native and can't wait to see him make it in the NFL....If he sticks to it he'll make it
