Adam and Eve, not Steve....sure, Obama can take time out of his busy vacationing and golfing schedule to call and congratulate someone living in open sin toward God, but can't seem to find time to make a call to possibly save our ambassador from being murdered in Benghazi....what's wrong with us these days??

100% Agreed what is it with this generation that thinks gays should be accepted with open arms and that they should be glorified. Our own president took time to call this gay and congragulate him??? Unbleivable man is supposed to be with women not man with man that is just disgusting. It even states it in the bible that being gay is not right and it is a sin but yet everyone is glorifying the "gay community"!

100% agree with this statement. It's a sad world we are living in today. One filled with great sin. “But evil men will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived"

Think its time I made a statement for all for hear.
I am gay. I didn't start out to be the first openly gay person, but since I am, l'm happy to start the discussion.

Nothing will make this happen. Those who offer support will continue to offer support and those who don't will not offer support. I have family members who are homosexual, like many of you, and I love and support them but I do not support homosexuality. That being said, I also do not go out of my way to voice my opinion of the lifestyle because it's not my lifestyle.
There has been a huge shift in the way homosexuality is viewed in just the last few years. All indications are that is going to continue. The way this story is being portrayed is not because of some media bias, but because treating homosexuals respectfully is now the majority opinion, despite whatever ignorant "Adam and Steve" statements are being celebrated by many here.

Agreed. Its been really shocking how quickly this has occurred.

Who cares? Why does a player have to "announce" he's gay?
Personally, I agree...there is not a need to know or tell....
but
..it's part of having everyone accept the lifestyle.

Have to laugh my arse off about all the protestations of "sin against God", slamming Obama, etc.
It's mostly what I expected.
Too bad your God doesn't teach compassion, acceptance and love of neighbor. Oh wait, he does and you just choose to ignore it and instead focus of some bullshite piece of anachronistic prejudice.
Yeah, and let's forgot about "home of the free". Free to who, the folks you deem as acceptable and not living in sin? Who the frick do you think you are to have this power over others?
Regardless, it shows what ignorance exists about human sexuality and behavior. Then again, I am sure that many of your ancestors thought nothing of enslaving black men. That was surely one of the most immoral realities of society but neither you nor your 'neck ancestors gave a good Goddamn about it.
Like a lot of folks have said, people should be free to live as who they are and not according to you and this really capricious and hateful God of whom you speak.

Tim Tebow: "I'm a Christian."
Media: "Keep it to yourself."
Jason Collins: "I'm gay."
Media: You're an inspiration!
Wow what have we become as a country?

Everyone asks. Every job I ever had asked about my wife. Friends I meet casually asks.
If you're gay, you announce, lie or deflect the questions. Its unavoidable, because everyone asks or looks at you expecting to hear more info to their questions.

Bible also says you shouldn't wear clothes made of multiple fabrics, don't eat seafood, and if you are within ten generations of someone who was born "illegitimately" then you can't go to church.
Bunch of sinners around these parts I suppose.

Tim Tebow is not a good NFL player, yet is one of the most beloved players in the league. ESPN basically devoted themselves to Tebow last summer. Do you really believe that Tebow has been silenced? Does anyone not know what he stnads for?
