My Poll

1 North Carolina
2 Vanderbilt
3 LSU
4 Oregon State
5 Virginia
6 Oregon
7 Florida State
8 Cal State Fullerton
9 North Carolina State
10 South Carolina
11 South Alabama (kind of high, eh?)
12 Indiana
13 Arizona State
14 Clemson
15 Louisville
16 UCLA
17 Mississippi State
18 UNC Wilmington (one midweek win doesn't overly impress me)
19 Mercer
20 Georgia Tech
21 Ole Miss
22 New Mexico
23 Miami (couldn't even beat Stony Brook at home, ha)
24 Austin Peay (what makes them top 25 worthy?)
25 Kansas State (Outlasting teams in the snow won't help them in June)

South Alabama is winning your conference

I'm not a ULL fan, and I don't fall into the notion that the best teams in baseball always win their conference(IE: LSU 2000). That being said, ULL beat Troy in a series and will face USA in the coming weeks. Right now I still think ULL is the better team, but if I'm wrong it will be reflected.

It was fun. It made me think and look at the teams that are not near the top of the poll--checking RPIs, etc. Good exercise.

This has been a blast. I'm kinda sad that we only have 4 polls left plus the post-Omaha final poll (which I expect low participation unless LSU wins it all).

Championship Sunday in addition to the pre-regional top 25, we can do a "Field of 64 Poll"

@EastAdvocate: Mainieri tried 2 call Alex Bregman at 10 a.m., knowing he was out of class at 9:30 but got no answer b/c Bregman was in batting cage. #LSU

He should have invited some teammates.

True. I'll admit that last night I was not quite as enthusiastic as I would have been had we won the series.
