Tebow should get a chance to start for an NFL team.

I'll go one further. The only reason Tebow does not start is because NFL teams would rather fail in a traditional way than try something new and risk criticism. Tebow shows how intellectually bankrupt most bad teams are (I'm not gonna blame a good team for failing to take a shot on something different, but some place like Buffalo or Jacksonville?)

I'm torn between this and my personal thought that he just isn't good enough, but I agree at least with your premis, Tebow aside.

Change seems to be frowned upon. I get why, coaches/GMs in reality, are trying to save their jobs for one more year as opposed to actually trying to build a winning team. Those 2 things are not always exactly the same.

I agree with your premise generally, but I'm not sure that I agree with it as applied to Tim Tebow. If Chip Kelly picks him up, then I'll concede.

You would have a point if Vick and the original Tebow (Vince Young) didn't exist.

My natural inclination to such a statement is that it's absurd, but I respect your opinion on most things sports related.

And I do agree to an extent. Tebow could start for some very poor teams. But the offense would have the be completely structured around his talents. And that makes sense. You should structure your offense around the strengths and weaknesses of your signal caller. I suppose the only problem you would run into is it's very high risk considering it would be tough to find a similarly styled back up in his case. Who do you bring in if he goes down?
