I'm pretty sure it will get bumped up to 2nd degree. He didn't knock him out but he contributed to knocking him out. That was reason he wasn't initially charged with that. My dad who's cop who's seen video believes DA will upgrade the charges.

if there is any stupid "sliver lining" here... the last time we had a player arrested at a bar before football season because of a fight, we went 11-0 in the regular season, won the SEC Championship, and played for the National Championship...
amirite?! ...

Like you said, Hill is an adult. He should be able to go out and not have to worry about punks like the "victim" harassing him.
