I honestly can't believe people are siding with the cop on this one.

How do you intimidate a guy with a gun on his hip?

Cop sounds like your typical cop. Big Win for the cop in this one.

Did they take his car? Perhaps Chip Foose is going to overhaul it and give it back to him at the ceremony.

Its funny, if Simon had a better year and was a more prized NFL prospect, I guarantee you he would be getting much more support on this board. No doubt in my mind.

I think he acted the fool and that his Momma should have slapped him upside the head; doesn't make him a criminal who needs to arrested.

Yes, and apparently Simon is a TPOS and is an idiot for not bowing down to the officer and showing the utmost respect.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there's a difference between being arrested and serving time. My dad ended up in jail a few times when he was in high school just for being an idiot kid. Didn't make him a criminal.

What a weak set of charges. Public intimidation?

This!

He gave the cop lip and the cop didn't like it.

Not a smart move maybe, but the cop just proved he enjoys throwing his power around and probably doesn't need to be a cop.

Is everyone missing the part about him backing his car up in a threatening manner? Doesn't that imply he was acting like he was going to run the cop over, or at least hit his car?

damn this is such a hard situation to pick support for one side.

On one hand you have a guy being an a-hole and giving the cop a hard time. Really no excuse for doing that. This guy also happened to give 3 solid years to LSU and made some pretty good plays along the way.

On the other hand you have a cop. No doubt a typical douche bag underachieving cop, who happened to achieve his dream last night and ruin some guys month for not respecting him. The cop surely had 4 wet dreams last night. BUT, the cop did seem to have enough reason for what he did, so I can't really fault him here.

man this is a tough one.

Cops shouldn't be allowed to give current or former LSU athletes tickets IMHO
