So the bench or traded is only place for him.

Yep. 1st round pick at safety is going to ride the bench. Excellent analysis. BRILLIANT!!!!

No disagreements there. But where you going to put him, OLB??? He's not big enough to take on legit blocks from G and T. So the bench or traded is only place for him.

he's would be a situational player, just like anyone else we would have drafted.

We addressed OLB a good bit in free agency. We must like what we have in Junior, Wilson, and Butler

Everyone seems to forget about the development of A. Hicks.

EVERYTHING I have read on him. Everything! Says he can cover the slot and TE's and is good in run support. If that is the case, and he can call the defense, he will se the most time of any of our safeties. Harper cannot cover and Jenkins seems frequently out of position. it may take a while, but I think he may get the majority of the snaps at SS, eventually moving to FS. We shall see.

Meanwhile the cowboys can continue with the Tony Romo experience. I like our chances better.

Did he take up two seats?

Not in the first class seats, but he was pushing it because it was a small plane. Maybe, in coach. But it wasn't that he was so much wide, side to side, as that it was protrusion from the front. I am not joking. Coach Ryan had a good belly hanging, but he wasn't as wide as I would have expected. Guy had some mitts for hands though. Felt like shaking a catcher's mitt.

and in coverage
false. he's dropped balls that hit him in the fricking numbers multiple times. being athletic enough to get in position to make a pick doesnt mean shite if you cant actually make the pick.

he also has loston syndrome of habitually lowering his head, which the NFL will only continue to crack down on as the concussion lawsuits begin rolling in.

he is a significantly less athletic version of laron landry. name a single great NFL player that was versatile enough to play lb, safety, and corner. guys who are very good at multiple positions dont do shite in the nfl, because they are routinely exploited by getting them matched up with great offensive players. defensive players who are highly valued in the NFL are great at one position.

which will totally translate to the NFL, since the entire big 12/10 has produced exactly one TE still on a active nfl roster - jermaine gresham, which made UT his bitch. and outside of Tavon austin, i'm not aware of any other slot receiver UT faced worth mentioning. and KV "shutting down" TA in the WV game is only part of the story. they used him on fake sweeps and as a decoy most of the game to keep KV out of the box and targeted the rest of UT's abysmal secondary. the only reason the game was even close was because our dline dominated their oline and cause the fumbles at their goaline. and they still put up 48

The saints D was one of the worst in leagues history. SP hires a new D Coord and gives him the key to the car and his taking hands off approach. "Fix this shite you fat frick!" "You're getting our first for sure, third and probably two more" "yes, you Mickey and I will confir, but these are your picks. I don't know shot about plying a 3-4 except their hard to scheme against so I'm not gonna pick the ingredients for what you're cooking"

Sincerely,
SP

I'm pretty sure that somehow, some way, Rob Ryan had Danny McCray starting at Safety for the Cowboys last year after an injury to their starter. McCray started 10 games, played in 15 and finished 2nd on the team in tackles. If Rob Ryan can do that with an undrafted free agent that was pretty terrible in production in college, I feel good about our chances with Vaccaro.

We addressed the biggest need on the defensive side of the ball. The only thing better would've been to drop down and draft either Vaccaro or Elam later in the first and add picks. But, that requires another team wanting your pick and willing to give up theirs. Assuming we didn't pass up a trade, I really, really like this pick a lot.
