@MikeTriplett: So for those whose heads are spinning, #Saints traded RB Chris Ivory to #Jets, traded up for 3rd-rd DT John Jenkins

Not sure I like the trade. Think I would rather the 2 fourth rounders and Ivory.

Anyone think Lemonier will still be on the board in the 5th round?

He could be our answer at OLB.

So we traded our 4th and the 4th from the Jets to move back into the 3rd for Jenkins

Our next pick should be 144

Huh?

We got a fourth rounder for Ivory. Couldn't have had him and another fourth rounder.

Pretty much used our 4th and Ivory to move up to get Jenkins. Fine with me.

They must have had Jenkins rated way higher than Jesse and Brandon Williams. Because IMO good chance one of those guys will be available at 106.

When did the Texans switch to a 43?? They just took a guy that can only play in that scheme...

Walter football loves our picks

quote:

75. Terron Armstead, OT, Arkansas-Pine Bluff: A Grade It was sad to see Steve Gleason announce this pick. I don't understand why there's no cure for ALS yet, but hopefully that'll change soon. At any rate, the Saints made an outstanding selection with Terron Armstead, who is raw but has first-round talent. There was some speculation that Armstead could sneak into the end of the first round, so New Orleans just made a terrific value pick.

82. John Jenkins, NT, Georgia: A+ Grade The Saints are absolutely killing this draft. John Jenkins was considered by some to be a late first-round prospect, but he fell because there just wasn't a league-wide need for nose tackles. The Saints probably don't mind too much because they needed a big defensive lineman in the middle of their new 3-4.
