Will Te'o really be drafted before Kevin Minter?

Every single McShay and Kiper mock has Te'o not only amazingly going in the first round but being picked ahead of Minter. I just can't see how NFL GMs could be that dumb. Minter's only drawbacks (height and speed) are shared by Te'o. Minter was significantly MORE productive while playing against much stiffer competition.
Against their only common opponent, Minter plays well vs Alabama and Te'o dives face first in the dirt on purpose in fear of being run over by Eddie Lacey. Bama had 166 yards rushing and 21 points vs LSU and 265 yards rushing and 42 points vs ND.
Stats on the year:
Tackles
Minter 130
Te'o 113
TFL
Minter 15
Te'o 5.5
Sacks
Minter 4
Teo 1.5
Teo did have 7 INTs but anyone who has seen his highlights knows that they were all either thrown in his gut by horrid QBs or tipped 25 feet high by someone else.

This sounds subjective

Who will be dumb enough to throw any their first round pick on Te'o?

Te'o will be the John Mobley of Kevin Minter's career.

Te'o and Ogletree both. Not saying that's what should happen as I think Te'o is a joke, but NFL GMs know better than I.

According to Mayock, several teams have Minter ranked ahead of Te'o.
The Vikings seem to be enamored with Te'o, so I'll guess he won't last past 25.
It's no indication who the better player is, it's just some organizations fall in love with a certain guy.

good reply
you showed this homer!!!!
regardless of if all those INTs were great plays he made 30 yards downfield, he is being drafted as an ILB and might not even be on the field on 3rd downs. Its like ranking Dunta Robinson as a great CB because he can tackle.

Not to mentioned that Teo actually wants people to believe that he is dumb (not gay). Other than that along with everything else you've said, he is the type of guy to build your defense around.

i didn't even want to mention the fact that he is a weirdo that will creep out all his teammates in the locker room at the least
I know McShay is a ND homer, and Kiper was in love with James Clausen so he may be too. so maybe the NFL feelings are not at all the same and this will be another guy who starts to slip in the draft and makes Kiper get visibly upset because they are screwing up his rankings.

Its always funny hearing the analysts describe Teo
"Hes not that big, or fast, ot strong. Misses some tackles and no showed the National Championship game, has some big off the field baggage..... BUT MAN HE HAS INTINCTS!!! 1st round pick!!"

Minter and Patrick Willis are the same height.

4.81 (minter) vs 4.82 Teo at the combine. Minter ran a 4.67 at his pro day, Teo 4.71.

Kiper is a self-admitted ND homer.

off the top of my head he made diving interceptions against Michigan, Navy and Oklahoma so thats at least 3.

I dont think so but I think they could be drafted close together. I wouldnt be surprised if both fell out of the 1st rd though

and his big draw according to them is big run stuffing MLB. And against the closest thing to a pro OL and RB he sees, he is scared to death and missing tackles on purpose at best and just garbage at worst. And ND has just as much front seven talent as any SEC team per these same scout experts Mcshay and co. prior to the title game, so blaming it on his friends is not an excuse. he also gave them a gimme TD pass to the TE when he didn't even bother to cover him after a play action fake.

As long as Manti Te'o doesn't fall to the Denver Broncos, I don't care where he goes.
