I'm headed to a boil this weekend with instructions to add to the boil in sort of a pot luck manner, and most of the usual ingredients are covered. Garlic, corn, mushrooms, sausage, asparagus are already on their way. I'm looking for something different for my contribution that would be a hit. For instance, someone is bringing Brussels sprouts, which is something I wouldn't have thought of.

Any suggestions?

Crack eggs into the water and basically poach them. Gonna need something to scoop them out with, think fry scoop.

Chicks seem to really dig pineapple, and they're relatively cheap.

After the "boil" is done toss a corn beef brisket with the seasonings that come with it into the pot.

No ones mentioned green beans yet. Those are pretty great

As far as outlandish, some kind of cut of meat to soak in the broth and then grill it after. Pork loin or something along those lines

I had brussels sprouts in one the other day, it was really good like that. They also had pineapple.

How is the pineapple cut usually? Chunks? Rings?

I also like the edamame idea.
