They offered to bunt and step on home for an automatic out.
The ump told them he wouldn't allow that as it would be a "travesty".

I think some of my high school baseball games vs Capitol were like this. Hahah. Wasn't fair for them they were in our district for two years in the late 90's.
I remember their field didn't have a left field fence, we would just drop bombs on the track. Poor left fielder.

It was mentioned that they offered to step on the plate but the umpire said he didn't want to make a travesty. Why didn't the coach just tell the players to swing and miss? I guess nobody wanted to do that, eh?

We played a team like this. Our coach would tell us to play fundamental baseball the first inning. And then after that we would let some scrubs in.
By the third inning, we were told to swing at anything. The umpire came up to us and said "If you don't swing, it's gonna be a strike."
I felt bad for the kids, bu they laughed about it. The coach for their team would literally walk down the hall with jerseys after school and asked who wanted to play baseball.
One kid answered his cell phone on 3rd base and said "Hey, I can't talk, I'm playing baseball right now. YES! Baseball!"

I think 34-0 should have been enough to invoke the skunk rule.
We beat Istrouma 30-0 a while back.
Coach had everyone switch hitting by the 3rd inning.

48 hits huh, it'd be cool to say you went 7-7 in 3 innings haha.

Yeah. Their field is a joke.
The right field fence blocked access to a ditch with the field sloping down to the fence line. I wondered if someone could be diving for a deep shot to RF could fly over the fence and into the ditch.

This doesn't really sound to crazy. stupid for the other coach not to forfeit early though. When I was in high school, we played Clinton, st Helena, Jackson (district games) and the games we sometimes stopped after it was 20-0 and we were pretty much getting out on our own. Some of the teams were just really bad. I felt bad for them
EHS grad?

My friend hit two grand slams in one inning in high school. We won I think 35-0
