I bought my wife a watch for Christmas online. The site was authenticwatches.com. No complaints and it was the best price I found.

I found a jeweler on ebay and contacted them directly. It went really well. Came with an appraisal, but I had another done anyway. It all checked out.

Go to Pricescope.com, they have a list of trusted vendors and a forum where you can, if you choose, learn a ton about diamonds and jewelry...

I was considering buying engagement ring but was leery about making such an expensive purchase online. All the reviews/comments on the site are very positive, but I'm still hesitant.

Bluenile does not post ASET images for stones but many other store do. They are a valuable asset for seeing light return on a stone and something you will rarely see in a brick an mortar store.

Just got an email saying the ring I ordered was shipped! Should be here tomorrow. I was skeptical about ordering online but after doing a lot of research and then going to an actual jewelry store to check out which of the C's I was willing to compromise on and by how much, I felt more confident about buying online.
I went with James Allen b/c you get to see actual images and a 360 view of the diamond you pick. When I was shopping I decided to stick with only GIA certified diamonds so I could be confident I was gonna get what I expected. And they offer a 60 day return policy with free shipping and free return shipping.
Could have bought the exact same diamond from another site for about $200 less, but I preferred the setting I picked out on JA's site.
I do plan to take it somewhere to get it appraised once I get it.

Used bluenile.com to buy an engagement ring last year. Awesome price and you can design exactly what you want, just be prepared to be a nervous wreck while your life is in Fedex's hands.

icestore.com has very nice diamonds. The owner is legitimate and although I did not purchase from him, I was able to use his price quotes as a bargaining tool when I made my final purchase!

Bought an engagement/wedding ring from solomon brothers out of ATL online. Got a great deal and they were a pleasure to work with.
