It's decent but one of many movies that is lost on me. Shawshank is another. It's the highest rated IMDB movie and I have no idea why.

Yeah, i feel the same way. I'm not sure if that's partly because I read the Richard Bachman version of the story first or if I'd have felt the same way if I just saw teh movie

It is a good movie, not a terrible movie. It has a couple very good actors who I liked but I found it eminently predictable and no more exceptional in thought or impact than a hallmark channel movie

No way I can limit such a list to five. But for fun of it, I'll toss these into the ring in no particular order.

Chinatown
Dr. Strangelove
Pulp Fiction
Rear Window/Vertigo/
To Kill a Mockingbird
Casablanca

My list could change tomorrow depending on my mood.

Although I didn't list it, LOTR is my favorite trilogy. Don't think I could pick a fave film out of the 3.

Yeah that one would probably be my fave. It's just such a perfect trilogy, I feel dirty for taking one out.

5 Favorite movies:
1. Forrest Gump
2. Inception
3. Oceans Eleven
4. Anchorman
5. Perks of Being a Wallflower
Honorable Mention : Dark Knight, Almost Famous, Apollo13, 3:10 to Yuma, Dead Poets Society

Those are my favorites, not necessarily the "best", because then I'd have a different list.
