I don't know why we bothered to try and sign anyone from Real. For whatever reason, European players have this hard on for real Madrid and view it as the ultimate place to ply their trade, the peak of the mountaintop, I personally don't understand it

Hahaha fricking Chelsea. Steal AVB's target only for him to buy the better player for the same price.

because you´re an American, likely relatively new to the sport (I said likely), and are force fed English football, which has been woeful up until the past four or five years.

Real Madrid is the Mount Olympus of football.

Because Real Madrid is king. They are the Yankees/Lakers/etc. The greats want to don the all white strip.

Explain?

Also, Maicon makes it look easy.

I agree and it usually comes with a big pay day and a lot of exposure...

Most will take that chance and risk sitting on the bench, or being thrown out with yesterday's trash a couple years later... Also, I'm guessing a player like Angel Di Maria thinks he's better than Bale (I would actually agree), but may not realize he has virtually zero chance of playing in front of him with that price tag..

I think we still have a chance with di Maria. benzema wouldn't and shouldn't leave until there's another striker with a pulse there. we were never going to pip ManU for Özil.

arsene is fricking dumb not bidding for Lamela.

we've shot too high without comprehending the fallout among players from our recent transfer (in)activity. I'm finally starting to get legitimately concerned.

as @netw3rk tweeted, I'm pretty sure spurs have signed more players than we have right now.

yep, the transfer window is shutting and we are risking going until January, being paper thin in terms of bodies... sound familiar? Oh yeah, last summer...

Maybe, but you have no clue how good Willian is.

that's the best part of their dealings. they have improved their XI, I won't argue that, but do much redundancy

still haven't seen any transfer signings. I did run across Dick Fox locked up in the Tower of London though. that could explain some things
