This monitor I just bought is pretty nasty. What's the best way to clean a display? Microfiber cloth and water?
Spray bottle of 90% rubbing alcohol.

That's not going to be too abrasive?
Posted on 6/16/19 at 4:30 pm to bluebarracuda
I mean, you aren't spraying rubber gaskets.
Alcohol is never abrasive though, there is no aggragate. Alcohol deteriorates rubbers and plastics yes but you are fine to use every so often. I use it as an electronic cleaner for everything. MOBOs to desktops.

I understand your concern. Just don't spray it every 12hrs. Think you are safe bro.
This isn't a rupture disc on a reactor in some chemical plant.

Yep and it dries quickly so it doesn't ruin electronics.

I ended up using some water since I didn't have any isopropyl alcohol
Man I forgot how good 1440p was. Looks like I have my main monitor for the foreseeable future

Pick one up here, but u have to give it back. When I need it.
It's TITAN X cooler but see no issue with it working.

Don't those blower coolers suck?

They don't suck but better options.
But he needs a cooler. I have 2 which never got used since I always use blocks.

I can meet at the Outlet this weekend.
We can do Wendy's again.
Can see my dog in person! She is on her period, wearing some bottoms. It's cute.
Went in garage to take pic of underside. I care so little about air coolers I don't even remove thermal paste.

I SWEAR IF YOUR MONITOR HAS ANY FREESYNC OR GSYNC.....
thats what you always told me when i was trying to buy one.... but what did you get?
I chose to stay 1080 and go 240hz over 1440/144hz

Back in like 2013, I built a PC with this thread's assistance. The PSU has been dying for a year or 2 now and deciding when to turn on; finally the GPU bricked; can't get the motherboard past b2.
So anyway, it's time for a new build. Might re-use case, and I already bought a Rm850x PSU to replace the one I have now, but I never installed it. So after a couple of days of catching up on hardware, this is where I'm at:
PCPartPicker Part List: LINK
CPU: Intel - Core i7-9700K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor ($389.99 @ SuperBiiz)
CPU Cooler: Corsair - H100i PRO 75 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($109.99 @ Corsair)
Motherboard: Gigabyte - Z390 DESIGNARE ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($269.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: Corsair - Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($187.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: EVGA - GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6 GB XC GAMING Video Card ($273.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $1231.95
Really I don't know what motherboard I should be getting; that's just tomshardware's pick for best Z390. Anything wrong with this setup, that I don't know? like something about to be outdated? Sticking with a 1440 monitor I bought from Barracuda for now; could this do 4k?.
