Yes that is what I told you a few years back where AMD was going (shoulda bought stock then too).

I believe the 3950X has higher IPC than any Intel cpu but we haven't seen anything official it's simply using numbers based off the 3800X and 2700X.

DOubt it. I still think Intel will win any Single Core IPC contest with AMD.

Then again, 1 or 2% better than AMD doesn't really mean anything.

I'm just excited that Intel is finally gonna be pushed to lower their prices.

Yeah idk, the leak so far the 3950X won. Numbers wise it should also be higher but who knows.

It was 218 vs 216 single core cinebench, but the 9900K was at 5GHz single core boost and the 3950X at stock.

So that lead will likely grow as the 3950X has already achieved multicore 5GHz OC's.

multiple cores with 5 GHz overclocks on a 16 core part...? Really doubt that.

EDIT: I'm assuming were talking about non-liquid nitrogen overclocking methods.

I didn't trust the players. We just went through the same promises from them 4-6yrs prior with Bulldozer and no ideas on their next ARCH on the graphics side.

I'm still "concerned" about the graphics business at AMD. Concerned might be the wrong term here, they just won't have an open field with nVidia like they had with Intel.

The CPU business we knew would come around and be "competitive". I don't think anyone thought it would be like this, with AMD on the brink of domination.

But who would have predicted Intel to literally stop innovation on their process tech after Sandy Bridge? Then once they decide to start progressing again, Intel fumbles not only their new process tech, but the new manufacturing tech! So now you aren't set back 2yrs, but 4yrs.

What a fckking diaster by Intel.

What a performance by AMD.

Want to see something funny?

I Googled "3950X Binning Special"

Got this nugget:
quote:

You see, the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X is already manufactured using two 8-core dies, it's just that four cores are disabled on the 12-core processor, which makes it easier to bin than the 16-core 3950X.

IDT the author understands product binning and that they just described it.

Jesus Christ.

When I first got into PC gaming in 99, Intel had gotten lazy and AMD's original Athlon caught them off guard. And now we've come full circle again.
Just hope Intel doesn't go the way of 3dfx.

Intel also had their own video card back then (i740) and now they're itching to get back in that market.

Where do you guys sell stuff locally because it would be annoying to package and ship?

Look to clear out some space but unloading most of my Amiibo dupes in bulk. But searching on Craigslist for "Nintendo" returns 8 results. Guessing no one uses Craigslist anymore.

I don't have Facebook, so that leaves me with Let Go?

Anything suggestions?
