Metro Exodus will only release on the Epic Games Store. Sigh.
PS4 version it is.
So sad......

$1000 for 1080ti performance and $1200 for a 20% increase. NVIDIA is going balls deep into Apple pricing retardation
Posted on 1/29/19 at 1:21 pm to bluebarracuda
Yea they are retarded.

I've been hearing the 3700x is gone be a super performer.
Posted on 1/29/19 at 1:46 pm to Hu_Flung_Pu
For what? Doing your taxes?

Great discussion. You bring so much to the table.
Posted on 1/29/19 at 2:01 pm to Hu_Flung_Pu
To be fair, you didnt bring much either
Posted on 1/29/19 at 2:08 pm to bluebarracuda
To be fair, I was starting a conversation.
One response could be
"Oh I didn't hear anything about it, what was the feedback?"
"I read that too. Interesting what they are doing."
"I'll have to wait till the production model comes out to say anything."
......
It's not hard

I mean it's a cpu.
They are back being boring again. You can discuss.
I thought it was funny. Sorry.

So no troll, but is Turing a failure?
No, its not a failure. Nvidia introduced "new" technology with the Ray Tracing stuff. THeres always gonna be a early adopter tax for that technology.
I don't agree with their pricing, but the RTX 2080ti is still a very impressive card, certainly way more impressive than anything AMD will offer at the high end.

But does any of that matter if it doesn't sell and you lose revenue and have to put out a poor earnings call as a direct result?
I can go build a go kart and list it for $1 million, doesn't mean it will sell.

Same here, looks like there may be a 12 core offering after all.
I will go either 10 core or 12 core, depending on the clocks.
Think since I'll be switching everything out I'll grab a new case as well.

I dont know where they pulled these numbers for the 2080 ti. From looking through 3Dmark firestrike scores, that number looks like 2080 scores.
Most 2080 TIs I see are pushing 40k, if not higher

They weren't the ones that got the numbers though. I got a notification on my phone yesterday about it and it was from some other blogger.
I know it's only synthetic benches with likely unstable drivers (and we dont even know if it's legit VII numbers), but it's a whole lot of meeeehhhh
This whole entire new gen graphics launch is going to be a whole lot of meeeeehhhh

I think it's probably because of the ray tracing eating a bunch of costs and 1080p-4k gaming took a back seat.
I wish they would bring out a card to cater to high fps 1080p gaming every year to get where all games run at 240fps on high settings.

It's also that nvidia has no competition for their higher end cards so they just charge whatever the frick they want for them.
I'm really hoping that VII can tear some shite up to make nvidia stop being greedy

The numbers look on par with the early numbers. 2080 performance and about 25% average over Vega 64.
If you're expecting more you shouldn't. This is just an Instinct MI50 prosumer card marketed towards gaming so they at least have something to offer until Navi.
I was just reading that the Zen 2 SoC with Navi for the PS5 was being sent out in much further along dev kits.
