Running at 720p60fps wouldn't be terrible. Heard 900p was the best all around in twitch.

No I'm talking about his gaming resolution and frame rate. If he's only gaming at 1080p60 he can get away with a cheaper card, but if he's at 1440p or 1080p120 he'll have to get one of the $400 capture cards

Wouldn't it just capture whatever he is doing at 1080p60fps no matter if it's at 144 or 240? That's what obs does.

No it won't. However, I read that if you mirror your obs on the streaming PC, you can output at 60fps and do higher fps in main.

If you don't have a freesync or gsync monitor, you'll get awful tearing that makes the stream almost unwatchable.

I tried it before. It was no bueno

I have a 1440p 144 hz monitor with Gsync.

With that being said I dont take streaming seriously enough to do a 2pc setup I don't think.

That makes no sense.

Maybe he meant 8700K over 9700K?

I'd agree with that at least.

I had a “goal” in mind - it would be to improve streaming performance. I picked up streaming a little bit, nothing crazy and no real aspirations, but I heard more cores could help that.

What issues are you actually having? I have your setup but with a 8700k and have zero issues with frames or streaming. The only thing I could think of is my internet is fiber.

Got a busy day ahead of me today...

1. Picking up 16gb DDR4 ram, GTX 1070, Inwin 303c case, and 25 Corsair case fans (6 rgb with rgb controller, 6 red fans, and then the rest are SP120 or AP120s) for $350

2. Trading the DDR4 ram above for a complete build (FX 8350, 16gb ram, gtx 660, corsair TX750)

3. Finally picking up the IO shield and wifi antennas for my itx mobo I bought with the 8400

I have a problem guys

I'm not having that big of an issue with performance on my gaming setup when I stream. I probably drop 15-25 frames depending on the game. which isn't a big deal to me.

My intentions with the chip upgrade would be to really be more for my second pc. Putting a much newer processor in that one, and in turn putting the 8700k in my gaming pc. I see it as a win/win for both computers, but I'm not an expert so I didn't know if it was feasible.

To be 100% honest - I've found some extra money that I'm willing to blow on my setup and a new processor is really the only thing in my budget without going overboard.

If upgrading a 7700k to 8600k wasn't worth having to switch the mobos out I would just find something else to do with the said money I want to spend on it.

Where the hell do you find these? I need your prowess when looking for my mobile setup.

I'm not quite ready though as I need to sell a couple of mice and a keyboard.

If anybody wants a k70 Corsair rapidfire, let me know.

What kind of monitor do you have? You could upgrade other stuff. Keyboard, mouse, nvme boot drive....

I understand. It is okay.

At one point I used to buy every new part launched at launch and never touch any of it but my main. It is fun to build. However my interests have shifted.
